Thanks buddyrose. I absolutely love my silver fox. I'd paint that color again in an instant. Its got enough brown in it to make it neutral but enough gray so it doesn't look like beige. Abalone is a nice compliment but it would be too lilac to do as the main color. I use it the hallway as a neutral transition to the gray and other colors and it works for that. I made the mistake of using stardust and hated it. Its a really chocolaty brown. Looks nothing like it did on the chip. I had to paint over it. The thing about this particular shade is that they really aren't all that similar even though they right next to each other on the paint chip.

Boy, I can relate to all of these posts. I have RP in my open floor plan. On the walls that have natural light, it looks OK (not my favorite) but the adjoining family room with the screened porch next to it blocking the light, the walls look like green/yellow mud and I am stressing as to what to do. My trim & cabinets are off-white so i have to stay with the warm greys. I've even tried Sea Salt which looks dull. I'm going for an LRV of 65+ so I'm trying the sample board with the Repose Gray at 75% with the idea of the adjoining kitchen/nook at 100%. We will see. Next I'll try the Gray Owl - OC 52 i think. Beware.......there are two Gray Owls! The Oc 52 is the lighter version. To complicate matters, I have a beautiful silver gray sectional sofa that I'm working with. I appreciate all of the posts here.

I agree with lynartist. Agreeable and Repose are a lot alike. You don't have know what these numbers mean in order to see that they illustrate how similar the two colors are. If you use just one of those colors throughout the unique light exposure in each room is probably going to make that one color appear slightly different room to room. So, you get flow and continuity because it's the same color but its appearance will shift based on the room's inherent quality of light.
