BM Revere Pewter
Comments (24)No decision yet, although I'm thinking of giving up the fight for Bennington Gray. I was originally thinking that if we ever paint the rest of the open floor-plan house, we'd choose a taupe like Bennington Gray or lighter. And I'd want the other room colors to flow. But maybe it doesn't matter that a tiny bathroom's walls don't match the rest of the house. That being said, Revere Pewter does look nice next to the painting we picked out, especially with brushed nickel fixtures in the room too. I know testing it out on a wall would be the best option, but for some reason, we just end up agonizing over tiny paint chips to make the final decision! I'll have to post a photo when we're done. P.S. I don't mind the hijacking. ;)...See MoreColor experts, Rever Pewter Smokey Blue, and..Grey Owl??
Comments (4)mtnrd...lol I am not either, but I will take opinions from absolutely anybody that will listen to me! My husband is not one of them anymore ;-/ joanieponie thanks, I am looking for a light color for this room, it is on the dark side of our house and doesn't get much light. Plus a color to possibly make the 2 Ive chosen make a little more sense together. My painter says it looks like an ode to the Dallas Cowboys...eeeek!! As an Eagles fan I was especially concerned! I remember looking at raccoon hollow & its medium/dark taupe I think. Does look nice next to Revere Pewter though!...See MoreBM Revere Pewter....I love this color! (Pics)
Comments (21)Thanks Lisa, and everyone else who complimented the color! I've tried BM Duxbury Gray, BM Gray Owl and BM Fieldstone and none worked quite the way I wanted in the last few months. So I understand the frustration of seeing a color look great in someone else's home but not work in your own. I ended up mixing the Gray Owl and Fieldstone and came up with a color that I really like. It is my second choice for the family room along with Revere Pewter. I'm going to start a new thread for that so please stop by and take a look. DH said this B&B wainscot was the easiest project I've given him yet and the cheapest. We did picture frame wainscoting in the study and dining room earlier this year and added a coffered ceiling to the dining room. You can see a hint of each in the photos above. The wainscoting for the stairs is made of 1 sheet of 1/2" MDF cut into 3 inch width's. The entire project, w/o paint, cost $30. I was at work when he did it (I supervise too much) and he said once he figured out the correct angles that the sawing and nailing part only took a couple of hours....See MoreGray/blue paint color for small north facing bedroom with litte light
Comments (1)Have a peep at 868 Mountain Mist by Benjamin Moore. It can be a little ethereal, depending on the light. Pretty. It’s very similar to Farrow & Ball’s Borrowed Light. They are both from the Blue-Green Hue Family....See Morelisa_mocha
