It has been a very nice day today. It was Alyssa's first day of preschool and they found out she needed a larger back pack so of course we had to go shopping for another one. Kohl's has a lot of good sales going on. Cheryl, Amber and Alyssa shopped. I took a book, got the whole thing read as they shopped so long! I had baked a ham before I left so I had a sandwich and soon I will eat the last piece of black raspberry pie.

I eat chili year round. Also soups. Doesn't matter to me... I just like them. I would like the way you served yours. Beautiful day here in Ohio too.

I made sauteed chicken livers with mushrooms. Had some homemade vegetable soup along with them. Probably will package up a couple of the livers to take to my sister in the Home later this week. She loves them.

Clear out the veggies in the fridge. More left over pork. My version of Kung Pao Pork. Nuts and all. With the heat that I created, we had to have chocolate fudge pudding to help with the fire in the mouth.

To hot to add anymore heat. Salad and sandwiches for dinner tonight.

Luckily my kids love salads!!!

Robert grilled a nice steak and I made a big, colorful salad for his side and my meal. I added some cold quinoa for my protein, chopped veggies from the garden, and a lemon vinaigrette.

Grilled key lime chicken, rice pilaf, green beans and almonds. I had a tons of blueberries that I bought because my husband was on a blueberry and cottage cheese kick. Yea..... that didn't last too long. So, tonight I made a blueberry crisp with all the berries.

Shirley, I'm glad you eat soups and chili year round as well. We eat a hot meal pretty much every nite, even in the dead heat.

Jim, I'd love to hear how you made your dinner.

Ellen, I'd love to find our more about your key lime chicken. Hubby loves blueberries, but I don't like them at all. Every so often I'll make him some muffins. He eats them plain with brown sugar.

Rhizo, another healthy, healthy meal. Are you cutting down on meat? I'd love to spend a week at your house and enjoy all the grains. I don't like barley at all, barley soup etc, but it was good in the brown rice tonite.

Jasdip, I just don't have much of a taste for red meat of late. I'll have some leftovers on my lunch salad, more than likely.

Yum, blueberries! I've been eating a lot lately, too.

Sherry, I don't think Alyssa likes preschool too much yet. She said she cried 3 times while there and they are only there 3 hours. She did tell us what all they did though.
