Day 2 for me at home.

Woke hungry, so had some turkey bacon (yuck) and made some delicious sour cream type of biscuit thingie that I spread out on a cake pan.

Finished up the last of my white chili.

OUT OF MILK, so guess I'll have creamer on my shredded wheat tonight.

Couple days I'll be in warm sunny temps!

I thawed some barbecued pork I had made and had a sandwich, had some Greek yogurt and some chocolate milk. Tomorrow afternoon I have a doctor's appointment and then will get a few groceries in town. I have not been out since last Friday. Doesn't bother me. Wish I didn't have to go out tomorrow. The temps are dropping now again. Just did housework today and chatted on the phone with all my girls. I've got a big pot of chicken soup on the stove simmering slowly. I took the skin off the hen so I didn't have to mess with all of that fat. Does anyone else do that?

I chopped up lots of vegetables to cook with the chicken, too. I'll probably add some noodles towards the end. It sure does smell good.

We are having a stir fry chicken and broccoli dish this evening. Smells good.

We're having fish and chips tonight. Got an email from work that we're closed again tomorrow because the roads are still icy.

Salad, red beans and rice with sausage.
Fruit for dessert.

Dinner will be leftovers..

There is chili, chicken lasagna rolls, bread and cheese..

Left-over mashed potatoes with turkey and gravy, salad and the 7-up biscuits. Mmmmmm!

Patti, we like that Panera broccoli cheese soup too, but Costco's runs a close second to that. I'm due for a Costco trip, maybe Friday.

We're having pork ribs, I trimmed and browned some early today and put them in my slo cooker with a made up sauce- tomato, onion, garlic, bit of vinegar, dash of numeg, pinch of brown sugar, whatever was within reach. I've got one huge baked potato almost finished to share with DH. There should be enough ribs for tomorrow too and then I'll cook some rice to go with them that DH prefers.

I'm on a sort of sabbatical from cooking but love to read the thread. I nominate Gadgets to take over. Shirley, I know they're big shoes to fill but you do such a good job! Say yes for Patti.

I made a big pot of minestrone soup - that's good for a couple of days.

I made Chicken Kiev tonight.... took a few shortcuts but it was very good anyway. Made a package of scalloped potatoes too.... more short-cut-cooking!

made salmon and rice pattys...served on wild salad greens....

Patti, someone will take over the thread for you. We usually share the duties :)

I'm late getting here but we had baked ziti (i always try to have a casserole or 2 in the freezer), with a salad and a dinner roll. Good stick to the ribs fare for the cold weather.

I posted and it disappeared, I made a pot of homemade beef and vegetables soup. Great for the weather.

georgysmom: Thanks for the vote of confidence but just doing it one night a week is enough for me. It's a lot of work. Since I've tried it, I can see why it would just be too much for one person. I applaud Patti for doing it as long as she has.

However, I would be happy to do it on Friday nights. Anyone else want to volunteer to do other nights on a weekly basis?
