Location for White Weeping Spruce

I live on a small lot with only 8 feet of yard at the sides of my house. I've been researching to see if there is any type of spruce that I could plant there. Of course most grow much too large, but I was told that a white weeping spruce will only get about 8 feet wide and although it continues to grow very tall, won't get wider. Can anyone with experience with this tree, verify this...I want to be sure that in 10-15 years I won't have to have it removed. I've had bad experiences with Dwarf varieties finding that what is stated as their size reflects the size in 5 years, not in their lifetime. I'm hoping the sizes growers are indicating on this tree are more accurate for it's lifetime.
