I am currently building a home with wayne homes. it is a very very long process with poor communication. Its been nine months and five site managers, Its been illegal aliens installing drywall over receptacles with underage children with the, Its been waiting and waiting and wondering if someone will show up. I texted the current manager two weeks ago, I never met him, and asked if i was holding it up and needed to do anything. he said no i am good. The VP GM blamed me previously for holding. the point is they advertise customer service but it is poor at best . So far the works looks great. But somethings i have to fix because putting a water line in from of a power receptical is wrong. I will fix it myself. I am putting the over head fans in this week. The contract said the electrician would but they came and i wasnt told they were coming so the fan didnt get put in. So this is the of the ice berg the house looks nice the framer were great the painter were great but who knows when wayne homes will finish as i pay for mortgage on a house that looks nice

I'm in the same boat. 2 1/2 years ago I purchased a leather sofa, two arm chairs, ottoman and two dressers from a Thomasville store in MA. The legs on one of the armchairs didn't match the other chairs and it had a different finish, AND there was a 1" "slice" (not all the way through, though) in the leather at the very top of the couch. The delivery men made a big ordeal of writing up the color, the finish mismatch, took pics, but forgot to take a pic of the slice in the leather couch. That evening when I opened my husband's dresser drawer to fill it with clothes, a 1/2 piece of veneer chipped off the front because there was a little nail sticking out below the drawer inside. So when we called to remind them about the slice in the leather we also told them about the chip in the dresser. They were planning to send a guy out to my living room with stain, and he was going to restain the chair legs right in my living room! I don't THINK so. So we sent it out again to be fixed and it was weeks. It came back okay - acceptable, not perfect. So we reminded them about the slice and the chip and they said we could touch up the chip with a marker can you believe that? And as for the slice they said we'd have to send the couch out to them again so they could reupholster it. How about bringing me a new one and taking this one away when I get my new one? So we never pursued it. We don't like to complain. We are blessed with what we have and I was starting to feel like a spoiled brat. But let me tell you this. We inherited the money we spent on good quality furniture. We thought it was smart to get something we could pass down to our children and we never had any money for fine furniture. I see that chip every day and it's in my face. And I just know one of my boys may very well pick at that slice in the leather. I wish I did squawk more because it would be done and over now and I'd have what I paid for. I feel ripped off. I will not do business with Thomasville again (although I do love those pilar fighting seat barstools!).

Wow some post not to add to the craziness but here is my 2 Pennies worth. To state that a Window is Dissapointing due to a "weak screen" is not a fair or reasonable comment. 1. Screens are not meant to be moved sideways it can drag on the lower track as they do not contain rollers or lubricant to allow them to move easily. 2.It is common place to have Rolled form screens on many high end window products. 3.Most Commercial Grade wood manufacturers make 2 standard Screen options Full and half both are fixed Screens. 4.Both are held into the frames with Plungers and a channel 5. Most Showroom's / salesmen will have the screen frame and material options on display. 6. As an older person your greatest concern should be the performance and ease of operation of the window sash not the Screens. 7. we replace multiple times damaged screens that were damaged in Transit or at the site and have encountered multiple times bent frames. 8. We would never straighten a screen frame other than temporarily until the manufacturer gets a replacement to us. Screens can be an issue not a big one given the cost of any screen is in the $40- $130 Max price range from small to super large 50" X 110" At an aadded cost you could have purchased Roller screens which is a high add cost but may be worth it for you as the screens retract into an enclosure and out of harms way when not needed.

I know this thread is old, but I came across it when doing a search for something else. We have a true Tempurpedic thick mattress (not the thin and not the pillow top.) We bought it because I was having back problems. The bed is wonderful in the winter, and really keeps you toasty. I have no problems with my back in the winter. In the summer, the bed gets too "soft" for my back. I think one reason is because our bedroom is south facing and gets very hot in the afternoon...therefore the mattress heats up and softens. I have the hot flashes, too. LOL We keep our thermostat around 72-74 in the summer (65 in the winter.) Also, I am "fluffy" so the extra weight makes the mattress sink down even further when it is warm. On the other hand, my DH is thin and he loves the mattress year round. We fight over the thermostat settings. He wants it warmer in both the summer and the winter. Ugh!!! I have found that if I place a thick mattress pad on top of the Tempur in the summer it helps keep my body heat from heating up the mattress. I take it off in the winter, so that the mattress can "catch" the cold from the room and firm up more. If I had it to do all over again, I would have either purchased the thinner mattress (these are firmer, but would make the overall bed thinner and hard to cover) or purchased the Sleep Number so that DH and I could have our own settings. Moving around the bed is a little difficult and there is absolutely no support for the back if one of the "kids" jumps on top of you. Wink, wink!
