Comments (11)that is a semi-terete vanda JVB (josephine van brero) hybrid, they are mostly in the coral color range, can be acclimated to full sun in subtropcal areas. I grew several in south florida and they did great in my pool deck... why not go and talk with the neighbor and compliment her on the beautiful plant and inquire where she may have sourced it from and also how she cares for it and does she any extra cuttings of it that may be available for sale or trade? These plants are fast growers and heavy and frequent bloomers, can be fed heavily twice a week. They can also reach specimen size fairly quickly and reach the ZEN orchid status of always blooming.... A quick google image search will offer plenty to look at and search https://www.google.com/search?q=vanda+jvb&rlz=1C2CHNG_enUS360&biw=1422&bih=792&tbm=isch&source=lnms&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwi_-8rni5nQAhWX8oMKHfzVCXgQ_AUIBigB&dpr=0.9...See MoreAre these pots suitable for my new adenium seedling plants?
Comments (9)Most of us grow our adeniums in regular plastic pots and a saucer, no close fitting outer pots. They do just fine in these during the early years, they let the underground portions to put on some good growth before raising them up to show the caudex off better later on. Then at this point, they often get moved from the full height pots into half pots which balances their look more especially for the Ines which have a wider caudex. Terracotta pots are a good choice too, but need a bit more experience regarding their watering needs.....but we don't know what knowledge you have with plants in general. Agree with Rick about self watering ones not being a particularly good choice. I personally have never used them for any plant, that's not to say they don't work in some instances though. Your plants may come with roots that won't fit into a size you have bought, far better to see what you have got first, then buy accordingly. Another day of do waiting for a suitable home won't hurt I'm sure and if you go with Amazon for any pot, delivery time is often minimal. Gill...See MoreMy 4 month old dorset horn adenium seedling
Comments (12)Love it. Reminds me of the nursery rhyme my mother used to tell me when I was little.... There once was a girl, who had a little curl, right in the middle of her forehead. When she was good, she was very very good, and when she was bad she was horrid. Looks like yours is very, very good :-)...See Morercharles_gw (Canada)
