Hi all, Been busy getting my nursery in order and still a long way to go! I'll try to visit GW more often. I do like the Tillandsias, like Bomg and Gonzer! My thoughts: #1 bergeri/aeranthos/tenuifolia, etc. Sometimes impossible to tell until bloom, then sometimes impossible! #2 looks caulescent like a capitata Rio Hondo (What is a T capitata?). #4 need a side image - maybe even T neglecta or similar. You'll know when they bloom. #5 Ross the Pink got that one. Some Tillandsias rarely bloom in more tropical climes so identification can be a long wait. Gonzer's 'new arrivals', from another 'Aus' I'd say, are a stunning collection too. The Europeans have marvellous Tillandsia collections. Cheers, Pedro

I think Sue Gardner, who did her dissertation on Tillandsia taxonomy, stated that there were no hybrids between the subgenera of Tillandsia. T. juncea, with its tubular flowers, is in the subgenus Tillandsia while T. meridionalis is in the subgenus Anoplophytum with its bell-shaped blooms (example - T. tenuifolia). Gonzer's guess sounds good to me.

As far as I know, you are correct with 1 & 2. They do look like Caput Medusae. Have fun with your air plants. L.G.
