New travertine installed next to older travertine -- how noticeable?

We have the entire main floor of living space with beige travertine tile except one room, the family room is carpeted.

We want to rip out the carpet and replace it with travertine or hardwood, preferably travertine. The seam where the old and the new will meet is in a high traffic, walk way area…. how easy is it to match up old vs new travertine? The old travertine is about 4-6 years old. We did not own the house when the original travertine was installed. So, it would have to be matched up by a professional. But it's the fancy smooth large 18+ inch tiles.

Do you think it will be totally noticeable that a newer travertine was installed -- color or travertine, grout color, etc.

On a side note, if you have cracked travertine, is that easy to replace -- one tile only or is it best to leave it be?

Thanks!
