Do you wear low cut swim wear up top?
Comments (28)Thank you. :) You're probably right eld. I overthink things sometimes. I always have to remind myself to just stop planning and do at some point. I bought a colourful coverup yesterday and will look for a high necked sleeveless swim top to go under my tankini. Hopefully I won't have your problem daisychain, with riding up, as mine isn't tightly fitted. We have confronted BIL at various times and the usual remorse and empty promises occur. Hopeless cause I'm afraid. It would be nice if no alcohol were in the summer mix, but that isn't fair to all those who can handle it. I will try the deadpan stare and walk away though, thanks for that suggestion! He might not see it through his alcohol haze and probably will still think he's hilarious. He's pretty thickheaded. People used to laugh with him, which I found astonishing, but not so much anymore....See MoreEye Patches for Puffy Eyes
Comments (29)The results are in.... I used the under eye patches this morning and I have a mixed review. Alright, my under eye bags are exactly the same as they were pre-patches. So that is a disappointment. I have allergies and a string of autoimmune challenges, so I guess my eye bags are not going to budge. Not for these patches and certainly not for the various eye creams I've tried over the years. These are my bags it appears and I'd better learn to wear them proudly. On to the good part...the crows feet filled in so well it's amazing. The crinkly skin under the eyes also 'ironed' out. Bags are there, but crinkles smoothed over. I give these patches a thumbs up just for that. I'm going to try using a patch upside down on my upper lip, maybe tomorrow and see if it can fill in the lines from talking, eating, drinking and being alive that one gets there. That would be great if it did! On to the elevens some of us get between the brows, I think that if you cut a patch and stick it there, it might help with that if the grooves are not too deep (If cutting the patch doesn't ruin it of course). My elevens come and go--it all depends on how much the people in my life are pushing their limits with me. The more they misbehave consistently, I get elevens. If everyone is behaving themselves, my elevens fade down. The patches were comfortable to wear and did not irritate my cranky eyes anymore then they already are. I suspect it's not adhesive that keeps them in place because even band-aids give me a month long instant rash. I think it's the serum the patches are bathed in and the consistency of the patches themselves. Seems they will stick to just about anything due to that. There you go. I would use them again, but with expectations that my bags will not change for the better....See MoreDo you wear blue-light glasses?
Comments (22)@maddielee I have a friend who had the plugs put in. My dr. did not mention them. I am hopeful I am not to that point yet. That i one thing I like about her; she is thorough and not in a rush to bring in the big guns!! (plugs, prescrip meds) @eld6161 I am good about drinking water. As I've gotten older, my skin has gotten drier, but not my hair (especially since I quit coloring). Yes, my dr. is also proactive. She does not want to use the prescription drugs unless we have to. When I went for my follow up - 6 weeks later - she said she could see more tears in the eye. I have quit doing the warm compress and have cut down (most days) on the number of times I use drops. The pollen is factoring in right now LOL. As I said, my glasses were $20 or so, and they seem to help somewhat. Maybe not the dryness, but eyestrain? I don't know but as long as I can tell a difference, I'll use them. Such as now, I've been doing billing, etc. for my husband's business most of the morning. The glasses stay on my desk, so I remember to use them! I also take eye vitamins (a different formula) as my father had macular degeneration. Thank you all!...See MoreWhat to Wear Redux
Comments (143)I will also add a PSA for this dress, which I bought a couple of years ago and quickly bought a few more because it is so easy to wear, especially when it’s hot. I only wish the prints weren’t mostly tropical. This one is my favorite: https://www.columbia.com/p/womens-pfg-freezer-iii-dress-1538021.html?dwvar_1538021_color=496&dwvar_1538021_size=M&ef_id=CjwKCAjwg8qzBhAoEiwAWagLrLDcUybwRaXmzCEOtyubIWsnIjadypyJsMtxOD3uoP3Qn-IhhzJEyRoCS64QAvD_BwE:G:s&s_kwcid=AL!3937!3!!!!x!!!20012679063!&mid=paidsearch&nid=COL%7CBrand%7CPMAX%7CMedium_Price_Feed_Only%7CGoogle%7CUS_New&eid=Google+PMax+US&gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAjwg8qzBhAoEiwAWagLrLDcUybwRaXmzCEOtyubIWsnIjadypyJsMtxOD3uoP3Qn-IhhzJEyRoCS64QAvD_BwE...See More- 11 years ago
