Trouble with Adobe Flash
Comments (5)What browser are you using? Have you tried a different browser? This is an attempt to limit the the issue to 1 browser. For delta search you will need to a bit more work to get rid of it entirely. To do that, download AdwCleaner Download from http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/adwcleaner/ Using AdwCleaner is very simple. Simply download the program and run it. You will then be presented with a screen that contains a Scan and Clean button. The Scan button will cause AdwCleaner to search your computer for unwanted programs and then display all the files, folders, and registry entries found on your computer that are used by adware programs. When the scan has finished, look through the scan results and uncheck any entries that you do not wish to remove. When you are satisfied with the selection, simply click on the Clean button, which will cause AdwCleaner to reboot your computer and remove the files and registry entries associated with the various adware that you are removing. On reboot, AdwCleaner will display a log showing the files, folders, and registry entries that were removed. When you're done with adwcleaner, double click it and choose uninstall Joe This post was edited by zep516 on Fri, Nov 15, 13 at 20:28...See Moreinstaling Adobe flash player 10 help please
Comments (2)Going back to my tech support days, you need to clear your flash cache, if you are on a page containing flash you can right click on it and get into your flash control panel that way, there might even be a control panel for it settings>control panels, lastly if I recall somewhere on the adobe flash download page I think on the left there is some sort of settings option there, click on it and it'll have a bunch of tabs. You probably want to clear the cache out and see if that helps. You could also try add/remove programs, uninstall it, reinstall/reboot. Have you edited your registry before? Did you back it up first, to a separate disk? You can do very bad things messing with your registry if something goes wrong....See Moreadobe flash player
Comments (5)Well, that's a loaded question. Do you need Flash? It's basically built into many browsers now (Microsoft Edge, Chrome and derivatives) so you don't need to "get it". For Firefox and IE, you still need to download separately, but make sure you're actually using sites that need it. It's probably the most common way to get a virus browsing the web today and is a major pain to keep installing updates (sometimes daily) and restarting your browser to get the new version. If you don't need it, it's pretty simple to not install it. If you do need it, or it's part of the browser you're using, you should consider getting a flash blocker extension so you can only enable the actual flash content you want - much safer....See Moreadobe flash player
Comments (8)Nothing substantial. 64-bit software runs faster ... but the difference is measured in micro- and nanoseconds so isn't of much consequence except in VERY high-performance environments. The typical user browsing email or web sites takes MUCH more time clicking on links and reading text and waiting for data to come in over the network connection than the difference a 64-bit browser can garner. 32-bit software can't make use of more than 4GB of RAM (which includes 32-bit Windows OS) no matter how much is installed in the computer. 64-bit OS and software can utilize MUCH more system RAM ... but if a given computer has only 4 GB then that's all it has anyway. However, many 64-bit systems nowadays may have (should have to get any benefit from a 64-bit OS) 8 GB of RAM or more....See More- 10 years ago
