Nice pictures. I love the owl too. Mine is an oxalis that I have managed to overwinter in the house for 3 years now. It usually looks pretty rough by spring, but it's amazing how quickly it bounces back and fills out. I have more flowers on it this year than I have ever have. It's a fun plant to have.

Jim it may have had scents from around the world or the mail persons cat and it was so awesome Tony was overwhelmed and needed a nap. Lol My llittle Mia goes crazy smelling packages I receive. I can only imagine how many scents it picks up on its trip to me. She loves the 2 black labs next door they are good friends and visit each other occasionally. My neighbor shares a magazine with me that I enjoy. The moment it enters her space Mia is all over it smelling and an occasional lick might sneak out lol. Beautiful pictures and omg the pink petunias are so pretty!

Caflowerover-- my kangaroo paw is blooming but has barely any foliage. It's the mini version, not the regular size kangaroo paw. It's in full sun. I wonder if the minis are not as vigorous as regular size. It's been in the ground less than a year.

I took this last night in the rain, in the dark, while holding an umbrella, using a flash....it only blooms for a day....right! :0)

Thanks, Mare and Nicole! LOL at Nicole. They do last for a couple of days at least!! My Baltimore Oriole daylily has lots of blooms on it and they've been there several days at least. LOL Also I love your Sprague Lake picture. I had the great pleasure to camp near there back in '73! Beautiful part of the country!!

Nicole, we spent a week one night in a mobile home in Estes Park. It was during a hail storm in early September. The noise of the hail on the roof of the mobile home and trying to navigate through the streets is firmly burned in our mostly pleasant memories of our first trip west to tour Colorado by motorcycle. Snow plows had to be brought in to plow up all that hail so traffic could move the next morning.
