I'll Show You Mine if You Show Me Yours Tues July 18

I went on a whale watching tour yesterday evening with a group of photographers. It was on a little zodiac (room for 10 people including the captain). It's the first time I have been out. All the others have been out many times over the years and they all said that last night was the most whales they had ever seen. I guess I picked a good time to go. It was amazing. I'll share pictures throughout the week.

Pic taken from my porch across my very busy road. That doe and her 2 fawns cross that road daily causing some real heart stopping moments. They come out of the woods over there, nibble around that apple tree then cross the road into my yard to browse around and check the bird feeder. Then they disappear into the woods behind me.

Baby blue herons, in human years=age 21. The parents kept flying by refusing to hunt for them. Tough love. They did stop preening and fly off.....eventually. Kids!

Here's my view as I sit in hospital waiting to hear that DH's surgery is complete. Hopefully successfully.

casey, we took a whale watching excursion in January when our cruise ship docked in Cabo San Lucas. Like you, I had never been and it was the most amazing feeling when we spotted our first whale that day.
