murraysmom, I only get to see those in winter. So good to get to see him early! I have no idea why winter because their range is my area, year round. Supposedly. But it's only winter. I'm watching, so I think I'd notice? Maybe.

I was curious about what you said so I looked up Tufted Titmouse and found that their range is mostly the eastern half of the country! I just think they are the cutest birds and I love seeing them come to the feeder.

A chair full of cats...too hot to be outside. I do have a bee photo but it's on the desktop and I'm just as lazy as the cats.

Great pictures everyone! Love the chair full of cats, I miss all of my pile up. Look how much pollen some of the bees are carrying. We have a little bird that got into the house, there were 2 but my husband managed to shoo one out of the back door. The one still in the house is hiding! I am not sure how they are getting in. The guys go in and out a lot but close the door because the air conditioning is on. I don't want it to die but I don't know how we are going to find it and shoo it out.

All of the bees/wasps make me wonder if it was one of them that stung my ankle this past Saturday, or if it was a spider or something else with a poisonous bite. Whatever it was it was the most painful insect/spider bite/sting I've ever had.

Wow, what shots today!!! The bumblebees are all stunning! Such detail and colour. I haven't seen even one this summer.

I have lots! They're all green. The plant is taller than I am. It's supposed to produce pound tomatoes, each fruit! Oh, I wish I'd weighed it. Dang! But big suckers. I'm considering culling some fruit so the ones left get all the energy

Oh I hate bald faced hornets. They are soooo aggressive. I had a bunch chase me the house one day and when I slammed the screen door they were hanging on to the screen! I inadvertently mowed under their big nest they were building under the eaves of the old outhouse.

The spider in your photo with the green - I don't think I've ever seen that before.

Roy had a '53 that looked like that one.

I think all the VW bugs sold in the US had air cooled engines. It looks no older than a mid-60s era model to me but it's hard to tell.

The models pre-mid 50s had smaller rear windows. Older ones had two part rear windows. Here's what a 53 looked like:

I agree with elmer. The car that my family keeps in the family, is a 69 bug, and carol's looks far more like the one we have than the one in the picture above this post.

And...you had to open the windows to shut the door properly!

I found a '58 that looks pretty close.

Anyway you look at it, Volkswagons are pretty cool. I had a 1971 and had it for 11 years. I paid $1895 for it brand new and sold it for $1200 and only one door opened - the driver's side. LOL It was a beautiful yellow bug! What a fun car.
