My Baby Won't Go To Sleep
Comments (4)My experience is yes, some don't go dormant as readily...especially seedlings or newly-rooted cuttings. For the ones that retain their leaves (and even try to grow a few new ones) I give them a bit more water periodically. If it eventually drops leaves, it will still come back in the Spring. I think the more light and warmth they get over winter, the more reluctant they are to drop leaves....See MoreComputer won't shut down
Comments (15)Unfortunately my sudden refusal to shutdown, seems to be quite regular. I click "Turn Off From the Start Menu" We get to the windows is now (closing)shutting down screen, the jingle plays...and we are not on nor off. Its Microsoft limbo hell. Mouse control has shut down. Can I delete .Net Framework 2.2 without hell to pay? My gut feeling is my problems are stemming from .net or the Merc board. The Merc board once shut down my Morrowind game and cancelled the tilde key assignment. Even Bethesda Softworks said there was nothing I could do. Ideazon support told me to upgrade my all keyboard drivers to hid, and that (unknowingly) knocked out the PS2 keyboard drivers used by the laser mouse assignments...it wasn't until I redownloaded the laser mouse drivers, did everything start to work. I can now cheat on my game to my hearts' content. (The tilde key brings up a game console where dirty little cheaters, like me, can enter codes to cheat.) This driver install and uninstall freeze with this crappy keyboard, that I'm stuck with to save money, is going to break me. It might have caused some problems. I had to reboot my computer from the default settings in bios. Although there was a warning on the Microsoft update site about one of .net updates rendering some computers unresponsive? Well! gee. I CANNOT DO A SYSTEM RESTORE! I tried a few different restore points...and honest to Pete!...I got this message saying the system hadn't changed so they weren't going to bother, there wasn't any point!? I mean, I never!!! What the????...See MoreThis kid won't leave me alone!!!
Comments (46)There are four girls in this room. Poor set up, no privacy. The only doors are the front door and the ones to the toilet. There isn't even a door to the showers, only a curtain. They all sleep in the same room, which is open to the "living room". She requested a cheaper room which had four sharing a quad but two girls shared a bedroom which had doors. They were filled already. So, she's still poking me on Facebook, although not every day now. Yes, all three girls have problems with the one. One of them had a screaming match with her the first week or two of moving in. At first Lauren and C. (the one she gets along with the most), thought it was the other girl with the problem. M. (the nudist) moved into her brother's apartment for a couple weeks and all was quiet. She apparently got into a fight with her brother over something I'm not going to post here and moved back to the dorm. She has since been acting like a slob and being inconsiderate of her roommates. The 3 girls have morning classes, M. doesn't so she can stay out late at night and come back in the early morning waking them all with her loud banging around. Like I said, I'm going to let her handle it and if she doesn't go to someone about it then she will just have to put up with it. I'm not going to march up there and demand they fix it. She and the other two girls need to speak up. It's a 2 hour drive. I didn't want to pay $110 for nothing. She has no vehicle and who knows how far the nearest UPS was from her dorm. I did it so I wouldn't get stuck paying for the rental. (I should say she has a vehicle, but the transmission is out and it's sitting at her father's waiting for him to fix it.)...See MoreComputer won't come out of 'hibernation'
Comments (9)go to control panel Power Options in the settings area change the settings to never for all the power saver options never hibernate never sleep etc. save the settings. Restart the pc see if that helps. Also since you have a new power cord and are not using any type of power strip try plugging it into a totally different outlet one that preferably is not on the same circuit that the other outlet was on. Also you need to do a sequenced power down and power up. to do that shut down your pc, unplug the power from the router and the modem, leave it off for at least 5 minutes. Then power up in this sequence. Power up the modem let it get fully lit up, power up the router let it get fully lit up, then last power up the pc. often times a full sequence of power up and down will flush it out and refresh so that things work better. It would be best if you posted this over on the computer help forum. Here is a link that might be useful: computer help forum...See More- 11 years ago
