Based on recommendations from some KT members, I bought a Shark Professional Navigator Lift-Away vacuum. After using it for a few months, I bought two more Sharks (slightly upgraded ones), so I now have a Shark on each level of the house. I love them!!

I have had one for many years. I think I started the Shark boom. My original one was the Navigator lift-away. I just bought a second one a few months ago. It was the top of the line. I liked it because it had lights and my original one didn't. However, for me (I"m 77) it was too heavy, so I returned it for the Navigator Pro Lift-away. A little heavier than my first one but lighter than the one I returned. They all perform well, but I did like the way the one I returned was made. It was designed to hold the tools better, had lights and the clasps on the sides were better. I talked a friend into getting this one and she didn't like it because it was too heavy. She now has a cleaning woman and her cleaning woman loves it! I also own a Shark steam mop and love that, too.

You can sign my name to Wanda's post, except I have only two. My attic vacuum is still the little one I bought years ago. I don't use it very often. :-)

I convinced a friend to buy one, and his cleaning lady liked it so much she bought one for herself.

Try doing a search here on kt for shark vacuum we have had many discussions about them, very positive remarks. I could do a commercial for them, I know I have sold a few lol. I have the lift away pro navigator. I would buy another one if I needed to but it's still going strong.

My cleaning lady loved it too and bought one just like mine. My husband actually likes using it too. Which is good because I can't do it very well anymore.

I have the shark rocket, I liked it at first and its still pretty good but its top heavy. The dirt container cup is very small.

Bought one for the RV, as well as the Sonic Carpet and Wood Floor cleaning system. DS just did the whole house yesterday after just doing areas last year. Both work very well. The cleaning products are hard to find here in our 'out of the way valley', but Amazon came thru. Buy them at Costco when you see them there. And wood floors still look wonderful, they were done 7-8 months ago.

We also have a bag less shark and love it.

Another Shark lover here too and will be my forever vacuum brand! Over the years I have spent a fortune on vacuums. I've had a few high end which were garbage. I've also purchased what was highly recommended on Consumer Reports and was extremely disappointed.

The day I purchased my Shark, I decided to do a test vacuum with what I had been using and then went over the same area with my new Shark. OMG, I was shocked at the amount of pet hair and dirt that was in the Shark bagless canister. My other vacuum was only 2 years old and I paid over $400 for it.

I guess I'm in the minority. I had one for a couple of years and then the battery gave out. Do you all keep the battery plugged in all the time? It would take forever to charge, so that's what I ended up doing. Loved the vacuum itself but have resisted buying another because of the short battery life.

I am due to replace the brand of cordless hard floor vacuum I bought for my son at Costco. He uses it to clean his laminate floor 1 bedroom apartment, and it can't do the small place on one charge. So we are looking for something else for him when he moves to a larger place. Mine needs a new battery or replacing too. So will the Shark Navigator do the job on one charge, and is it cordless?

I don't have a cordless, I have not had a single problem with mine. I do want the smaller stick shark for the rv but not the rocket one. My shark lift away navigator pro is NOT a cordless. I don't think any of the navigators are. The one I have comes with a second head especially for hardwood type floors and the regular one for carpets however I use the regular one on everything there's a switch to turn off the brush.

I bought a Shark LiftAway and a Shark Rocket, not at the same time, got them at Bed Bath & Beyond and used a 20% off coupon.

Oh yes, the coupons. Got 'em in my purse for spur of the moment shopping at BB&B. Don't buy anything there without a coupon.

I'm sorry, Raven, but I don't have it anymore and don't remember the name. I thought it was "Navigator," but maybe I'm misremembering since you said yours has a cord.

Sheila, after doing some price comparisons I've come to the conclusion that BBB's regular prices are 20% more than they should be, thus accounting for all the 20% off coupons. :(

At the time I bought my Sharks Walmart and Bed Bath & Beyond had them for the same price so the coupons did help.

I checked the Shark prices, too before buying mine at BB&B with my coupon. They were very good about bringing the first one back after I decided it was too heavy.

I bought this shark vacuum through Costco after reading the positive reviews here. I figured if it didn't work, at least I had the costco guarantee. It works great! Mine does have a cord.

SJERIN, I agree. BB&B is overpriced and one should not shop there without coupons. But they do have some things I cannot find elsewhere, so I keep coupons handy.

I'm glad someone mentioned BB&B being over-priced. I've been in the store I think twice. I was looking for a decent vegetable peeler. I bought one there for $6, and it's nothing fancy at all. I was horrified when I was in my local discount grocery store and they had the SAME one, same package, brand, white handle, etc, for $3. I was so angry at myself (and them).

Of the three different Sharks which I have, my favorite is the Rotator Professional Lift-Away 3-in-1 vacuum (Model No. NV501). It is red. It can be converted to a canister vacuum that rolls along, or a portable vacuum. It comes with a pet power brush that is great, and a bare floor nozzle.
