GardenWeb Blinded me
Comments (14)Im going to throw this offer out there... Would the community here be willing to support a new website and forum dedicated to only fruit growing and scion exchange (pomme, stone and others)? I am an experienced web admin who also runs the #1 Bowling Information website. I run it without ads and accept donations to pay for web hosting. Its been successful and the hosting account has been paid up 2 years in advance because the members love the no nonsense way of communicating. I would run it with phpBB, a 21st century forum software. If you're willing to support this, please reply with, "I will support your idea." Support does not imply monetary support. I will need support from members to build the forum out efficiently and the best way possible. If you'd like to see some of my work, please follow this link: BowlingChat.net Forum Im willing to take on this challenge if other people will support the idea. -Eric ----------------------------------------------------...See MoreGardenWeb Profile: Please Update to Include Your City
Comments (39)Luther, as discovered by Tom somewhere in the posts above, only 20 characters are displayed. In yours, the number "9" is the 20th character, so the "b" is truncated and not displayed. You could abbreviate "zone" to the letter "z" like I did in mine in order to get your zone 9b to properly display. Carol...See MorePlease help me find this picture.
Comments (11)kelleg, no, I am not sure where I saw it except it was on the company's web site. I ran across it one day while I was surfing the web. Now I can't find it. I will go to HGTV and see what I can find there. oakleyok, what I am talking about are the letters/words that stick on the wall that look like they have been stenciled. I guess they are vinyl. I have not seen any in person, but you can get words, phrases, etc. There are several websites that you can find these or you can get them off ebay. Thank you both for your answers....See MoreUploading pictures on GardenWeb
Comments (11)Check the user agreement. Forums usually have blather saying that for purposes of promotion and other in house stuff, they assert copyright to anything you post. That is, when you post to GardenWeb, GardenWeb can use your material for GardenWeb. They might also be able to take action against outside sites, etc., that lift whole discussions, and use the agreement not to have to have every contributor sign off on it. You yourself retain copyright for other purposes, such as if you want to send your picture/recipe/cat stories to a magazine or publish them in a book. I haven't looked in awhile, so I can't say for sure what it is here, but I think it's probably like that. If you poke around you should be able to find all the policies....See Morefarmgirl44
