We are going grocery shopping for our trip so we will pick up something for dinner. I will stock up the fridge for my house sitter too. I have so many lists going on right now! Packing up is not a fun part of the process.

Umm salmon patty sounds good, haven't had those in ages.

I still have to figure out what I am doing and I better get at it since we eat in about 1 1/2 hours. I did cook down some pig trotters yesterday (I know so appetizing -said with sarcasm) so I might do a quick soup.

Ok, just finished chopping up the veggies and started the cooking. It's going to be split yellow pea soup with the stock from yesterday and finely chopped carrots, kale, spinach, celery, mushrooms, red & yellow pepper.

Left over stir fry and rice, salad, and gingersnaps dunked in milk for dessert!

BBQing some T-bone steaks, baked taters, asparagus tips, and three cheese garlic toast. We were going to do them up last night, but a big thunderstorm was looming and I don't like BBQing in the rain! LOL

But Prairie, bbqing in a thunderstorm is your dinner and entertainment all rolled into one. ;) Those T-bones sound delicious.

Game day at my place and we started early, so everyone contributed to lunch before we played.

I made buttermilk congealed salad,(mine was made with orange jello), and it was delicious. I ate that with pb on some crackers. We did have chicken fingers, chicken salad as well. Light and not too filling for a hot day.

Littlemonkey: When I looked up pig trotters, I said no way. Now that I see you're using the stock, that does sound tasty.
Phyllis: I love it all, right down to the gingersnaps dunked in milk.
Rose: My, it all sounds great. Steak is my favorite food.

Pizza! Every Friday dinner is pizza. Makes our DS happy.

Gadgets it was good. I did use a bit of the trotter meat though. It's very tender meat. I also added some fresh tomatoes then I pureed everything (except the meat, which I added at the end) because the majority of those veggies my two younger kids hate. They loved the soup though and it got rave reviews. There's enough left over that I don't have to worry about making lunch for today.
