What's for Dinner ... Friday?

I just now remembered it was Friday. A nearly perfect day for me today. Beautiful weather and a peaceful day.

I'm having pork loin, cottage cheese with tomatoes, and steamed broccoli/cauliflower. What are you having (or did have already)?

2 hour catch up with friend who is back from their other home in Boston.

Ashley Mac's for lunch, my favorite restaurant. I had spinach feta tart, blt spinach salad with their famous sour cream biscuit muffin

The grilled lamb and pork steak we didn't get to last night. Stuffing and corn on the cob. Watermelon for dessert. Had the best Strawberry Crepes for lunch yesterday. Too full to cook/eat last night.

Chili, toast and a green tossed salad. Easy, peasy, 'cause tonight is game 7 between New York and Tampa Bay. Winner tonight plays the winner of tomorrow nights game 7 between Anahiem and Chicago for the Stanley Cup. Tomorrow night is the gang coming over for a BBQ to watch the big game.

Hi Shirley, we are at a bar getting set up to play. Before we left I marinated a couple of chicken breast in olive oil lemon juice, dijon and garlic and herbs and put them on the little gril. We had quinoa salad and fresh rolls. We're in for hot humid temperatures this week end.

It's ridiculously hot here over 100. Hubby is going to throw a couple of nice bone in ribeyes on the grill, leave the heat outside. I will do some baby red potatoes in the microwave instead of the oven. Sliced tomatoes. I am not hungry at all, had a slice of pizza for late lunch. I had carotid artery scans done today and the vampires had to have some of my blood too. Whew too hot to be out doing anything! Another baby died in a car I saw on the news, at a Waffle house restaurant, I just don't get that one. A man came running out to the car when he saw the ambulance pull up. I guess he just needed some waffles. Crazy stuff.

Jasdip, lol....I was absolutely being silly, but it turns out that the history behind the colorful name is murky, at best. All of the many stories go pretty much down the same path...it's fast and easy! We babysat for the two little girls who live next door with their grandfather, our much loved neighbor. He had his first date in the many years since his dear wife died! These little girls have real separation anxiety issues and this was the first time that he had left them at night since he took them into his home. I fixed 'breakast for dinner'; pancakes made to order, ham sausage patties, scrambles eggs, and fresh fruit. I let them pick out their pancake ingredients from little bowls of chocolate chips, chopped apple, blueberries, peanut butter, nuts, apricot preserves, and strawberry jam. Just one pancake each, but they really loved their whole supper.

Lots of veggies tonight. I have roasting in the oven baby red potatoes, yellow squash, turnips, and Vidalia onions. I have some tasso, cured smoked pork steak, sautéed to go with it and I made a salad of fresh grown tomatoes and cukes.

I still had some leftover caponata that I made out of the grilled eggplant, onions and peppers and I served it over bow-tie pasta.

Had genuine, fresh New Bedford oysters baked with ritz cracker topping and side dishes. To die for.

Worked today, so had a late dinner on the way home where my son works: miso soup and salmon sushi. Brought home a roll for tomorrow (salmon & tuna), and one for Lauren-eel her favorite. She's at a graduation party up north. Supposed to be driving back soon. I hate her driving up there on I 75. Awful road.

I made a Thai curry with chicken, peppers, onions, sweet potato cubes, and mushrooms in a coconut milk/curry sauce over basmati rice.
