The clear of course is beautiful. The milky white is also nice. Clear reads more modern to me, and is the 'same' as the other light. Any glare with the clear glass fixtures?- like burning your corneas glare (dimmers are a wonderful thing). That would be my concern.

Either way, the led will only need to be changed every 37 years ;)

I don't think you can go wrong either way.

akl, it sounds like you're on the fence, too? I can put it on a dimmer, and it'll be LED regardless of the fixture. It's just that with the clear glass, I'm looking at a $20 "edison" style led bub. With white, I can get the $5 ugly LED bulb.

I would probably get the milky glass because I find those Edison light super cool, but bright on the eyes.

As palimpsest stated, light is also more diffuse. Will be nice in a br. The sameness to the other one wouldn't sway me one way or the other, they are similar enough that either would look good. Not matchy matchy, but coordinates.

White. Clear would be so bright and glaring.

White to reduce glare.

White for softer light.

i would probably go with the clear... since it's a single light, the $15 difference probably isn't too big a deal for a long life bulb?? I like bright light in the bathroom- don't know if the light would be that much more difficult on the eyes than any other exposed bulb, especially on the ceiling. maybe sconces at near eye level would be more annoying...

Clear glass is beautiful and I love it, but I think of the bugs that get into our light fixtures and that does it for me - no clear only white.

it doesn't look like too many bugs would work their way into that light... at least not flies and stinkbugs which is what i mostly found when i had a chand with open glass shades...

I have clear glass pendants in the current kitchen. They get dusty, but because they're open on the bottom, bugs don't collect.

yes, that's a big advantage of having the globe/shade open at the bottom! (but the light you show is enclosed, not open...)

White, for all the reasons given above, plus I like how it looks better. Never underestimate how the look of a bulb can crap things up.

yes, as long as there isn't any gap, I don't think there shouldn't be too much of a problem with dead bugs showing thru the clear... if there's a gap tho, they'll get in! :)

All of mine are enclosed with no gaps and bugs still get into them somehow.
