Hooray, Gloria, I knew you could do it. Now, how to use it? My favorite way is with some fresh fruit, a drizzle of honey and a sprinkle of granola, kind of a yogurt parfait for breakfast. I also use it on baked potatoes and in baked goods in place of sour cream, I make a honey/mustard/yogurt salad dressing, no measurements just some of each to taste. My girls both like it in smoothies, about a cup of frozen fruit like blueberries or strawberries, a cup of yogurt, blend it. Add a little sweetener if you like. I've heard that yogurt is good for acne, use a teaspoon full in place of face cream at night, but I've not tried it. (grin) I add it to bread, cakes, etc., in place of some of the liquid and I just eat it. Oh, and you can make yogurt "cheese" too, just put it in a sieve lined with cheesecloth and let it drain for several hours and you'll have a thick yogurt cheese that you can use as the basis for a dip or a spread. okay, i always thought crabapples were for the birds and any other animals that wanted to eat what dropped from the branches, not human consumption. what does crabapple taste like? i have been thinking of moving and tuesday i went upstate and saw this most magnificient house and on the front lawn there was a crabapple tree. i said i wanted to cut down if i purchase the place LOL maybe i need to rethink this. claire, your jellies look fantastic. i canned an assortment of jams/jellies last month and used them as party favors for my g-babe's birthday party (get it - first jam? As I was looking for posts of this recipe before it was posted in this thread, I saw that there is a part missing to this recipe...it seems they leave out to allow the rolls to rise before baking. I found the recipes posted a bunch of times and always leaves out allowing the rolls to rise until doubled in size. Is this a necessary step or do you not have to do that? Someone actually asked about it and some other person besides linda said to allow to rise first....I would like to hear this from linda herself.
