Thanks Ninamarie. Morinas do ok this far south during cool-to-normal summers, but they seem to never really build up enough strength to get through the hot summers. (I'm in Maryland) Since the last three summers have been very hot (fingers crossed this one will turn out differently...looks promising so far) the plant I had for years finally gave up the ghost last summer. It also doesn't help that rabbits will ignore it for a couple years then randomly mow the whole plant down one night. That happened the year before last, so, between that and a 3rd hot summer, it was just too much for it.

kd: I am pretty positive that is a Chicago Faucet, because I have the same one in a wall mount version, and no one else (that I've seen) makes that double hinged spout. It also has the spoke style handles, instead of the lever handles. They have discontinued most of that vintage looking line (why, why, why?), but if you are interested, you can contact chicagofaucetshoppe.com and probably have them build it up for you. That line, in chrome, was not very expensive (few hundred bucks, depending on how fancy you get with the handles). They have great customer service. I couldn't find the faucet on their website, but they probably still have all the parts/pieces to make it. If you go that route, and you need a photo, I can send it to you. :-) francy

In 2002 I really wanted copper appliances Just how much do you want these? Is it worth a lot of money to you? Copper isn't exactly cheap. But the good news is that it is easy to work with. And most appliances are pretty straight-forward to disassemble. If you are sufficiently determined, you can take apart the front panel of your appliance and have a local metal fabricator replicate it out of copper. In some cases, you can also buy panel-ready appliances that would make this whole exercise a little easier. And in rare instances, you might be able to convince the appliance manufacturer to sell you a copper panel. I believe Bluestar has (or had) a "precious metal" series. I am not sure if it was available for all of their models. But I have seen that they can make copper oven doors. They look gorgeous. And of course, copper sinks are thing. Just head over to Dino Rachiele's website. So yes, if this is your highest priority wish-list item, then it absolutely is something that can be customized. As with most non-standard design choices though, it'll cost you. If you do go this route, you owe us pictures! :-)

Roxanne I'm sorry you're in the same boat. They are no longer responding to emails and have basically used the report their former claims person put on about our vacuum and standing behind that for any issues. We've moved Beyond The White surface scratches, we actually have cracks that are starting to appear, in addition to the delaminating planks, and now we're seeing some of the peeling or stain dropouts like Kathy has. If they seriously want to stand behind a vacuum causing all of this damage to engineered hardwood, what does it say about their product? Funnily enough, they included a paragraph in their warranty with regards to vacuums after our issues cropped up. Unfortunately for them, it's not the warranty that was in place when we purchased the product. Their customer service is absolutely non-existent. The warranty isn't worth the paper it's printed on and they're flooring is absolutely abhorrent.
