Has anyone used this before?
Comments (7)The active insecticide in this preparation is Imidacloprid. This is the same ingredient in the topical "topspot" flea and tick preparations (like Advantage and Advantix) used on dogs. This ingredient is toxic to cats. This insecticide is also marketed under the names "Marathon" and "Merit". One is for home gardening use on ornamentals, the other is for professional nursery use. I forgot which is which, both are VERY expensive. This is also the same ingredient Bayer puts into their "Rose and Flower care". The Rose and Flower preparation also has a fertilizer component, because it has been shown that the simultaneous application of a nitrogen fertilizer aids plants in uptaking the insecticide. The rose prep also has a second, different insecticide added. That is basically the ONLY difference between the tree and shrub prep and the flower and rose prep, except for a very very important difference: CONCENTRATION. The tree and shrub prep is over 4 times stronger than the rose and flower prep. You have to pay attention to how you are diluting it. I have used both of these products for scale and mealybug on heliconias, calatheas and gingers and frankly been very disappointed in their ability to get rid of these 2 predators. I have found that using something non-toxic like Neem Oil has worked 100 times better than this particular Bayer insecticide....See MoreHas anyone use this feature before ?
Comments (2)I do not use it but know several who do, it is ok as an additional layer of security defense along side your AV program and good programs like Malwarebytes and superantispyware. What it does is use several antivirus programs to scan if anything malicious is found. the scans are free but I think to use the clean feature you have to pay. Never hurts to do one more extra scan.It is not a real time scanner just scans when you choose to do one. This is info about which of the Antivirus programs it uses when it does the scan on malware found. "Hitman Pro's antivirus brain trust consists of G Data, ESET's NOD32, Avira AntiVir, Prevx, and a-squared. If any unknown suspicious files remain after this step, Hitman Pro compresses them and securely uploads them for direct analysis by the scan cloud team."...See MoreCable filters and if anyone has used one before?
Comments (0)Just finished reading some threads/posts so I decided to go ahead and post my experience. Just a little over 8 months ago now, literally the day before my second daughter was delivered, my oldest boy came into my office/dining room (no jokes please) with a grin like the Grinch on his face. He wanted me to buy one of those digital filters. He always has me paying $50 for his wrestling WWF stuff and I've also been known to watch a good boxing match every once in a while. Long story short, I got one of those cable filters for my Motorola DVR box in the living room WITHOUT, telling the kids or the old lady ;). I still make the kids ask to order stuff but when the bill comes there's no sign of anything, heh. Every month I squeeze about 30 PPV's out of it without having to clear the memory on the box. If I only order like 20-25 ppvs in a month, then I don't need to clear the box because it clears on its own every 30 days. I figured if it didn't work I'd just get my money back since they have like a year guarantee or somethin like that (had to check my bookmarks www.cableboxfilters.com). BTW, does anyone know what the Cablecard slot does?. I've never seen anyone who used theirs and I don't understand what it would be used for. Is it for the cable guy when it's being installed or something? Thanks and God bless! L. MacArthur...See MoreHas anyone here used this before?
