Just finished reading some threads/posts so I decided to go ahead and post my experience. Just a little over 8 months ago now, literally the day before my second daughter was delivered, my oldest boy came into my office/dining room (no jokes please) with a grin like the Grinch on his face. He wanted me to buy one of those digital filters. He always has me paying $50 for his wrestling WWF stuff and I've also been known to watch a good boxing match every once in a while. Long story short, I got one of those cable filters for my Motorola DVR box in the living room WITHOUT, telling the kids or the old lady ;). I still make the kids ask to order stuff but when the bill comes there's no sign of anything, heh. Every month I squeeze about 30 PPV's out of it without having to clear the memory on the box. If I only order like 20-25 ppvs in a month, then I don't need to clear the box because it clears on its own every 30 days. I figured if it didn't work I'd just get my money back since they have like a year guarantee or somethin like that (had to check my bookmarks www.cableboxfilters.com). BTW, does anyone know what the Cablecard slot does?. I've never seen anyone who used theirs and I don't understand what it would be used for. I'm in the Boston area and I have used it successfully. they have raised their prices. You can just try the one month trial, and get the names of three people to start, and if it works well for you and you need a lot of work, go for a year. The list is uneven, in that sometimes they have no/little info for what you are looking for or a company you want to use isn't there, but everyone I have used from there has been really good, so I continue to find it valuable. It also helps to fill out reports to make it better. However, I have not put in a VERY negative report of a company not listed because I was worried about them suing me, Angie's LIst doesn't protect you from that. I have used: Yard clean up painters chimney sweep/liner mechanic locksmith roofer all with excellent results.

We just purchased our home 8 months ago and changed out all interior hardware to Schlage "Aged Bronze". (It had all Baldwin gold, yuk). Although Baldwin is an excellent product I couldn't live with the gold, and to redo the whole house with Baldwin was too pricey for our retirement budget. Although we did use Baldwin for our front entry handle set because of the quality and durability. We chose their "Venetian Bronze" which is almost an exact match to Schlage " Aged Bronze." My husband and I are pretty finicky with this type of stuff and were completely happy with our choices. (We used the same products in our last home and they held up well.) I am mainly writing this because matching the bronzes with different companies is daunting, and we pulled it off. Just thought this may be helpful to any one else doing a search trying to match bronze finishes for these two companies.
