Should I repot now?

My little angel Brug has completely filled the 10 inch pot is in-it is all roots-I'm not sure if you can see that in the photo. It is also starting to bloom for the very first time-you can see that in the second photo. If I repot it now, are the blossoms going to survive? I repotted it in March, and it has just take it off. Not sure what to do.. Thank

I grow mine in much larger containers.

that needs a pot twice that size or it will fall over when it blooms , if you repot it and keep it in the shade and well watered for a few days it will be fine , I like to put some lava rock on thw bottom of the pot to help drainage and use good soil and add some slow release fertilizer ti the soil , if you have well drained soil you can go 1 size larger than normal so it will not need to be repotted again for a while

So I left this Monrovia tree outside until it was hitting a few days of 40s in NJ. I brought both the Four Winds and Monrovia to my bedroom (near a skylight). The Four Winds has adjusted and the Monrovia has dropped most of it's leaves and it has a ton of flowers. Which I read might be due to stress. I didn't get a chance to re-pot it due to other priorioties. Is it too late to repot it? Also should I add a grow light to give it more light? The past few weeks we have seen very little sun. Thanks. You may have to do what is called "pricking" - it's what those of us who start multiple seedlings in the same cell or tray do all the time. It means literally lifting the seedling from below with a dibbler - a sharp pointed object - a tootpick, dental probe, fine screwdriver, sharpened pencil or similar slim sharp pointed object. video on how to do it Lightly hold the plant by the leaves only (never the stem) and just probe in from the side of the plant and gently lift up with the probe. What comes out is the seedling, root, and a small amount of soil stuck to the root. Have the new cells already filled and prepared with already moistened soil (use 1/2 and 1/2 mix of seed starting mix and some potting mix with a slow release fertilizer in it). Poke a hole in the center of the new filled cell with your probe, pop out the seedling, slide it down into the pre-drilled hole, and lightly finger press the soil around it. The Burpee trays and filler plugs are both replacable from Burpee but pricking won't damage your cell packs and they can be reused. Instructions with pics linked below. Thanks for the quick response and for taking the time read my long ass post. I was thinking the same thing as my main option but the plastic, being fitted tightly around the roots and media makes it difficult to pull out, and I'm worried disturbing it a little bit might do more harm than good at this point. Still, a light re-positioning of the media shouldn't be as bad as repotting it right?

After the plant has bloomed and when spring has arrived might be a better time. Where are you in the USA? Plant looks fine, a slightly larger pot might be needed when you repot. This is the you beaut flowers gallery, might get better response over on discussions.

Could you plant inground? Eventually the pot requirement is going to be so big you won't be able to handle. Also have seen many a brug rootball break out of container

I keep most of my brugs in pots , most do fine in 5 gal pots and it is much easier to bring inside for the winter and less stress on the plants than needing to be dug up have there roots prunes potted and then brought inside , the ground is best in zone 9-10 where heavy frost is not a problem

I am in North Texas and have a number of brugs that have been in containers for years with no problems. I think I may have repotted them once, but other than that, just move them in the greenhouse for winter and back out for summer............................works for me.

Thank you everyone. The plant grew really fast. That pot was okay when I took it out of a 4 inch pot and planted in that one. Then it just took off in a hurry. I bought a huge pot and repotting it tonight and will put it in the shade add some slow release fertilizer to it. If I put my Brugs in the ground, I would have to dig them up in the fall and Bring them inside. I would rather just leave them in pots.
