Best venting option for water closet

I am trying to figure out the best means of venting a toilet when the drain has to run one direction and does not go under a wall within appropriate distance for venting. I need to stay within the joist bay and the wall behind the toilet seems to be my best option. I know a vent is not supposed to travel horizontal under flood level but I see no option to do this. We are under IPC in TN so I know they are more relaxed on wc vents but I want to assist the function of the toilet with an appropriate vent. Here are the two images that best represent my situation. Let me know if any will work and if so what is the better option. I do have 16" I-Joists and I am thinking that picture 1 may be exceeding the depth needed to make 1/4 pitch to stack (almost thinking that picture 2 is my only option as the main floor is below and bulkhead not an option). Any other advice is much appreciated. Thanks
