Comments (15)Nope, I knew what to expect. Simply put, it's an incredibly difficult certification. That is, I wasn't unsettled, just TOO much information to have to know. In real life, we may know a process needs to be done in a certain way, but then most of us look up and double-check every last detail before completing it. This test, you have to know every last detail of every last detail. In your head. It's that hard. :(...See MoreJournal 13-14 May 2008
Comments (3)I had a long talk with Ed last night. We went to a marriage retreat several weeks ago and he's been worse since then. I finally figured out (and we laughed together), after discussing it with him, he thought it would've waved a magic wand over us and we'd be honeymooners. It strikes me how naive he can be sometimes. I'm better. He's better. And it's not my imagination because he said "I feel like we're on the same page." without prompting. Yea! We leave tonight for Pigeon Forge to answer the call of the native American hot tub and ancient ritual of swimming in a pool. Hopefully, that will get my muscles and joints relaxed enough to hike a bit on Saturday. We're staying at a condo, so there will be my cooking, must go make menu. I just spent my overtime bonus from the national meeting; I worked on the weekend in addition to the week (I'm an 8-5/M-F, spoiled rotten desk job person), on plants! Hurray! Campanulas, Echinacea tennesseensis, Anthemis, tiger Lilies 'Sweet Surrender' (a white speckled with burgundy) and my ever favorite, Betony (Stachys macrantha "Superba"). Mom took away from the hospice meeting, they're making her more comfortable due to her congestive heart failure, rather than, they're making her more comfortable until she dies within months (I know what a hospice's role is). Glad she doesn't have to know what I know....See MoreOfficial Winter Sowing Count Zone Wars 2014-2015 #2:
Comments (152)I am finishing with a total of 137 for Zone 6. Brad if you are reading this. I don't know how to send messages to anyone. I would like to know if you want to trade for some Lynchis 'Burning Love'. T's Flower's and Things are sold out of them. I am following you. I don't know how to get around this site....See MoreWeekend Journal 25-27 July 2015
Comments (7)We are having a heat wave. it's about 2pm and its 90 degrees in the shade. I have to remind myself that I am lucky I have AC and can run it at will. I'll be 75yo this week and I bought myself an electric guitar, the thing is, I don't know anything about music, let alone a guitar. But it is so good for my brain to learn something new, that I'll keep practicing. There are some super videos for beginner players on the net. DD and GS are coming on Saturday to help me celebrate my B-day. There is a method to my madness. When I'm done with the guitar, I'll give it to my GS. His dad is a great guitar player, so GS will have a good teacher. I have just about finished two guest rooms. I shopped mostly from our house, nothing fancy, but I hope our guests will be comfortable. DH has a very old car, the benefit is that it has very few computer features, so he can fix just about anything else. The other benefit is that the older the car, the less we pay in registration fees. We've saved a lot of money over the years. My favorite necklace broke, and I'm looking to make one with the beads I bought at an estate sale for $4.00, I have to go and buy some spacer beads, but I have everything else I'm looking for some cooler weather, LOL, rob, you asked....See MoreUser
