Elimination Diet

I am currently doing an elimination diet as it looks like I may have psoriatic arthritis. I am doing the McDougall diet which is no meat/dairy/sugar/oil, 70% starch, 10% fruit and 20% vegetables. It is pretty restricted at this point and I've done well, although I'm bored with what I can eat. However, I'm finding that I don't do so well with grains (e.g. brown rice, quina) or white potatoes....and don't think I can live on squash only. I also find it very confusing that the various anti-inflammatory diets are so contrary to one another. I'm beginning to think that I won't stay with with this diet strictly, but perhaps will try things outside of this as well. I think dairy will be a 'no' for me however. I also continue to take fish oil which I've taken for many years, and curcumin for the tendinitis issues. Is there anyone that has done or know someone who has done an Elimination Diet for arthritis that would care to offer any experience/advise? I'm not quite sure where to go with this...I've got the willpower, but not feeling confident in how to proceed.
