Wolf Electric Cooktop Over Miele electric convection single oven

Does anyone know if you can mix and match ... A Wolf electric cooktop over a Miele electric convection undercounter single oven. Specs for Miele electric cooktop are not compatible with my existing cutouts in the cavity of my cabinet where my existing appliances sit! Hope this makes sense. Feedback please

You can mix and match but not that combination. The wolf electric units are 4" deep. Assuming a standard 4" toe and 3/4" platform for the oven, that only leaves 29 3/4" from the floor of the cabinet to the top of a normal 36" counter height. The miele + wolf combo totals 30 3/8". You would need a cooktop about 3 - 3 1/4" in height. There are options out there just none that are coming to mind as of this writing

Joe Henderson LRG - the specs on the 30 inch Wolf electric cooktop (#CE304T) indicate 3-1/2 inches high. What say you? Thanks!

First , let me be the FIRST to say, I do not claim to be a Kitchen Designer or Kitchen Architech, alto I did design our curved kitchen--soooo----keeping the "above" in mind, here are 2 things that would "bother me" about stacking a Miele Speed Oven over a wolf Oven. (1) The wolf seems to have a bluish to white display, whilst the Miele Speed Oven is definitely on the orange-reddish side. That would probably really bug me. (2) The Wolf Control panel-display is about the same width as the black & glass area of the door (IE appears as "full width"), whilst the Miele has that smaller window type display area. Again one being directly above the other probably would bug me a bit. As I said , there are far more talented ppl here (design-wise) so maybe they can chime in. To Me the Elux Speed Oven would be a far better match (Lookswise),It has the full width display/control area the display (when lit is blue) and only a white clock shows when the display disappears (if not used for a couple of mins). The Elux Speed oven does not broil and uses a turntable---not a problem for me, but of course , I can't answer for you. You can see both Speed Ovens in use baking potatoes, Mojavean with his Miele and Me with my Elux. I put a link to the GW Post, where you can find The Great Potato Race. I tried to do this - i had a dacor oven and dacor cooktop over it and i wanted a thermador cooktop (new). It didn't work. The tubing collided with the mold of the oven. Only same manuf seems to work in my research. You have to see if it is supported even then. Your appliance store might help you here.

Although it seems a tangent, bear with me: I recently purchased a stick blender for my mother's birthday, the one I gave her years ago having bitten the proverbial dust. I started research on Amazon, only to find similar sorts of problems with this small appliance as those outlined in the original post here, i.e. so many brands either got glowing reviews or horror stories for the very same product. Quality seemed to be a roll of the dice, no matter how much you paid. I finally chose a popular brand, knowing that the blender could suddenly tank, but also knowing that reviewers said the customer service was outstanding. So, if we're left with mediocrity from the more accessible electric wall oven brands (like Bosh or Electrolux vs the costy Wolf), which have been most responsive when people have had a problem? Kitchenaid seems to have failed roundly in this respect over the past few years, so even if they've solved their problems, they aren't the brand for me. Comments from the trenches?

Owned a KA double wall oven for 13 years, no issues. Doing remodel and just replaced it with another KA, this one is stainless, convection upper, thermal lower. It is installed and it is far upgraded from the 13 year-old one it replaced even thought it is the same model number. The convection is the reverse flow "European" design, it has a beautiful blue interior with side halogen lights and ball bearing roller rack with concealed lower elements. Glass touch panel for the controls is fantastic and the information in the display is great. We really liked the design of the doors, three panes of glass thick and they are full glass on the inside which makes cleaning really easy. At 400 degrees the outside of the door is cool to the touch. The actual cooking is great, temperature is really accurate. We looked at every double wall oven out there and for our money nothing else came close. We were not willing to pay twice as much for a nameplate. No regrets, it is beautiful to look at and even better in use.

I was looking at the CE304CB (frameless black glass model). That being said, it's still too tall given the additional height of the power conduit at the bottom. Unlike a wolf wall oven, a miele is flat in the rear on top so there is no "knock out" to allow for the conduit to come down.

I see a few options that would fit height wise. Bertazzoni, Smeg, Miele make a few. Viking makes one. What parameter is preventing you from using miele in the first place?

We all love Joe on the GW. He is a wealth of information and will tell you what he thinks!

Are you looking at standard cooktop or an induction? I have the older Wolf induction and had to have 6 inch clearance under it for any combustibles. I heard the newer Wolf doesn't require that much space but recommend confirming.

Induction rocks over standard cooktops - easy to clean, much better control of temperature - but you do need magnetic pans. Good luck!
