ID help and care please!!
Comments (15)Hi, I hope someone can help me ID my unknown plant! Once ID'd I hope to find some good tips on the proper care... I received this plant as a gift and have no idea what it is...its leaves are green, with almost teardrop shaped leaves, very similar to a pothos; but it has pink margins in spots with white striping (which sperates the pink areas from the green). You will notice from the photo that the leaves are predominately green, yet still variegated! The mature, larger leaves are covering the smaller leaves and preventing them from reachong full size... My guess would be they are starved from good light, and they're stretching a bit in an attempt to get more. Some of the leaves are warping... there doesn't seem any pest issues at the moment. However, once I know what plant this is I will be able to care better for it! Can anybody help? Thanks! =) Here is a link that might be useful:...See Moreneed help please. (ID & care)
Comments (2)Echinopsis hybrid. Treat as any other cactus. Best in full to mostly full sun, well draining soil (LOTS of pumice ideally) and water weekly in summers, and much less in winters (unless you live in Palm Springs, then water weekly in winters, too). Most yellow is scaring from age, but you could be getting some rot/damage if over watering.. .feel it (careful for spines) for softness.. .if soft- bad....See MoreNeed help with Apple ID and care please!
Comments (6)The tree looks good, but a little small for fruit production. For the next year, as hard as it is, I'd pick the flowers off, so the tree uses most of its energy into its own growth. A young apple tree growing fruit is like having kids at too young of an age. Yeah... the analogy sounds a bit weird, but for almost any fruiting plant (peppers, fruit trees, blueberries, etc.) ,restricting the energy to only the growth of the plant itself is beneficial. I agree about everything floral said too. I don't know your variety, but if you really like that one, look at youtube videos about propogating from cuttings and grafting. Both of these techniques are a real asset to the thrifty gardener...See MorePlease help me ID these succulents; caring tips needed
Comments (11)Kara, Currently I leave both the plants at my east-facing window sill at which sunlight is available for around 8am to 10am. And I plan to increase the sunlight exposure by an hour a week. Hopefully, they can enjoy themselves =) P/s: I live in the southern region in which the weather is still sunny and not quite humid at this time of year ^^. Btw, being curious about location and some private information is welcoming here as it is part of our norms, so no worries :))) Frank, Wow, so this one is the hybrid between the Sedum and Echeveria? Patrick, Ok, so it should be fine to leave them there a week before watering again. I also wonder whether gradual sunlight adjustment like I plan is ok or it is too long? P/s: about the ID yeah we should wait for more comments to confirm. These echies are sometimes too shy to reveal their true forms, or they just love to make us confused xD Thank you all for being very informative and enthusiastic in supporting me ^^...See MoreTiffany, purpleinopp Z8b Opp, AL
