That there is a jatropha. Looks like you have a nice hedge of them.

It is definitely honeysuckle. I transplanted a couple tiny plants of it from my folks' home in KY to my home in IL. I planted both plants next to an unused telephone pole. The vines have grown to the top of the pole! Looks like some type of tree ent almost LOL. It is a highly invasive plant. If we couldn't mow around it, I doubt I'd grow it, because it truly would take over the yard! I completely love the scent of it though. It is one of my all-time favorites!

Sorry Emily, but I don't see the problem. The leaves don't look dry from here & I don't know what you mean by 'crippled leaves' . I can't see the soil at all & I'd like to. Usually, folks have problems w/ their Fittonas drying out, where they literally wilt, collapse & then dry out to then become brittle & crunchy. Since that is not the case w/ yours, I don't know what you think is wrong. These plants usually need very high humidity, I've only been able to grow them in terrariums or the bathroom. How long have you had the plant pls, what kind of soil is that? Does the pot have a hole? Sorry for all the Questions, but all those factors matter in the care of the plant.

Maybe can save seeds, depending on what tonight's forecast freeze will do to the plants. Will you want some? As we know, resultant plants will not necessarily produce pink flowers. Not OT your Turk's Cap. My understaniding is that your case and mine are results of different genetic expressions. Not that I know much about either.

And that is the prettier one. I have the other one - has a leaf that more deeply lobed. And I don't think mine is ever going to make a pretty plant. Gonna have to take a shovel to it soon.

Cool, the plant is a cross the street from me, I was clipping some of my plants to see if I could get them to root and I thought Ohh let me grab a clipping of this thing and see if it will take. The plant is on the outside of the neighbors fence, right next to the street and they have not been mowing that part of the yard so I hoped they they would not miss a clipping from such a big plant. Looking it up it looks like it might root.
