Oh that sounds great, I should have made shrimp chowder tonight. I have shrimp in the freezer, and a loaf of French bread, maybe tomorrow. It's very cool weather here in Houston today also, very surprised when I walked outside this morning.

We are having cheddar smoked sausage hot dogs with caramelized onions and oven roasted home made steak fries.

I made a baked chicken breast and fried eggplant. I found an easy batter, 1 cup flour and 1 1/4 cup white wine whisked to get her. Easy and good.

Made a small Greek Salad. Also a Veggie Pizza. Didn't have any meats to add...but I put on everything else that I had lol

Think it will be a well seasoned sausage link, Ranch style beans, and mixed green.

Took a wonderful stuffed pepper out of the freezer......had left over corn bread made with green chillies. All good!

I made corn bread on the weekend, for the first time ever. It tastes so good! I think I'll try baking it in the cast iron skillet for a change next time.

I made a roast beef on Sunday and turned the leftover beef into a Shepherd's pie which we had tonite.

Grilled chicken, salad with mixed greens from the garden, artichoke hearts, chickpeas, cold steamed asparagus pieces, green onions, and tomatoes.

I took the chicken off the Weber just before it started to rain!

Lots of good meals tonight. I made turkey-sausage, pepper, & onion sandwiches and a big potato salad.

I'm in beautiful Ohio, too. It was a great afternoon for mowing.

We had fried goetta, which was a new recipe I made yesterday. Accompanied by tossed red leaf lettuce salad, and garlic-parmesan bread.

Yesterday was patty melts (used part of the ground meat I'd mixed for the goetta), with mushrooms, braised kale, and tomato slices. My 7yr old grandson said they were "'Amazing!"

Raven: I wouldn't mind stopping by your place tonight. Just make my onions raw.
Pam: Did you put the batter on the chicken too, or just the eggplant?
Audrey: That pizza looks "Oh, so good"
Walnut Creek: I had to look up Ranch style beans. I think I'd like them, especially with all the other things you were having.
Phyllis: All good indeed; and all easy. I like that combo. I don't make cornbread often. I don't know why.
Jasdip: Another new thing for you. My sister says it's always better in cast iron skillet. That Shepherd's pie sounds tasty.
Rhizo: I'm glad you got your grilling done. You make such good sounding salads. Makes me want one.
Party: I'd love to share your meal too. I'm glad I don't have to make choices between all these great meals.
Mama Goose: Glad to hear from a fellow Ohioan! I had to look up goetta. I feel pretty sure I'd like it. I'll bet your grandson was right about yesterday's meal.

Today was beautiful here too. I fixed dinner at noon and we had corn on the cob, candied sweet potatoes, Stove Top stuffing, mashed potatoes and gravy, marinated vegetable salad, biscuits, and a yellow cake. We picked up a bag of broasted chicken in town and that was our meal. This evening was leftovers. The two daughters and little granddaughter were here for dinner and then they worked the rest of the day doing yard work. Lots to do. Our son came out and took out the two stumps left from the trees he took out recently. In the evening after work our son in law Kevin came and moved the wood chips to low spots where we needed them. I just got the chickens shut up for the night. Sad news today, Buffy the one Buff Orpington hen was found dead under the forsythia. We know no animal got her but don't know how she died. She seemed fine earlier. They buried her in the pet cemetery.
