Don't know yet. Something from the freezer because I'm busy watching the Masters. Played golf today and had lunch after so I'm not too hungry. DH will probably want chili.

Dh took out a pound of burger to thaw, I have no idea what he wants me to cook. Chili sounds good, but maybe pasta or a meatloaf. I'll have to wait and see what he would like when he gets in.

It's been raining again here and a bit cooler. I picked up some fresh corn on the cob at Sprouts today so I think that along with a couple of blackened bone in thick pork chops and a cuke and tomatoes salad.

Ok, DH has spoken and the verdict is, hamburgers with milk gravy, mashed potatoes, peas and carrots, and a pear and asiago cheese salad.

I think I will have a potato fried up with onions and some eggs. The girls are still laying well. Sunny this afternoon but very breezy making it chilly outside if you aren't busy.

I made a pot of minestrone soup.

Minestrone Soup

• 1 large can diced tomatoes
• 1 can tomato soup
• 1 can kidney beans
• 1 cup sliced carrots, cooked (or 1 can sliced carrots)
• 2 cubes or envelopes beef bouillon, dissolved in 2 cups water
• 1/2 cup macaroni
• 1 lb ground beef, cooked
• 1 onion, chopped and cooked with the ground beef
• salt, pepper, garlic powder, oregano, basil and other spices to taste

Combine all ingredients in large pot. Simmer until macaroni is cooked.

Purchased apple fritters for dessert.

I'll be grilling some shrimp and veggie kabobs. I've made a BBQ sauce of ac vinegar, fresh ginger, chilli sauce, honey, Tabasco, and garlic....it's just got to be great, right?

Will have a brown rice pilaf on the side. I just assembled that and have it on the stove.

DH is on a flight home and will have already eaten by the time he gets home. I'm having the salad I took for lunch but never ate, a hot dog and potato salad. Maybe some strawberries for dessert.

Picked up a friend and we went out for fish 'n' chips.

I looked to see what is in the fridge and didn't like this or that and then saw pkg. of a steak and pulled it out and unwrapped it and sliced off some as its too huge for me to eat the whole thing. Fingerling potatoes, green beans and fruit for dessert.

Karen, thanks for posting the recipe! I'm going to make that this weekend. I'm going to add some lentils and frozen mixed vegetables to it. Yum!

We had spaghetti with homemade meat sauce.

Glenda: Sorry you're going to have to visit long distance for a while, but I'm glad to hear you got to share lunch today.
Georgysmom: It's good you have freezer meals for times like this. Maybe supplement with carryout once in a while.
