Mirror Size in Master Bath

Hi,

We are renovating our master bath and I am really struggling with which mirrors to choose. Our vanity is 88 inches long, including the 1 inch overhang for the countertop.

There are two 33 inch sink base cabinets and a 21 inch set of drawers in between. I love the Channing mirror from Williams Sonoma home. I was considering the Wilshire Double Sconce from Restoration Hardware to go in the middle above the drawers. There is a wall on the left side of the vanity and a toilet with a window to the right.

It is 30 inches wide and 40 inches tall. Since our vanity is going to be against a wall, if I center the mirror over the drawer base, it will be 1.5 inches away from the wall. Is that enough space? Is the mirror too large? Is the mirror too large and possibly ornate for the space?

Some background on the design--The vanity will be white, with a london grey caesarstone countertop. Our floors will be 12 x 24 porcelain limestone look alike (a dark grayish cool brown). In the shower, we are using taupe-ish color 4 x 12 ceramic tile with a lighter, sparkly crackled glass arabesque accent panel.

You said you were centering the mirror over the drawer base. But said the mirror would be 1.5" from the wall. Sorry that does not compute. I assume you would have a mirror centered over each sink base instead. If that is the case and you have the double sconce in the middle I think it will be fine. An inch and a half from the wall should be enough space. Are you planning on some overhead lighting too. The mirror is very nice. It is fancy but not ornate. I think it will look great in your bathroom.

Sounds fine to me. The light only uses two candelabra bulbs though. I think it could only function as mood lighting.

For the mirror, put the builder's special in and then go to a framing store and ask them to cut you four pieces to go around the outside. Then you can use something like construction adhesive to glue the frame around the mirror. Even with a full width mirror, because of the light fixture placement, it still looks off to me. I would use a LED lighted mirror and forego the light fixture above the mirror. Hi there! I would suggest two options: 1. You could have one large mirror with the lights actually on the mirrors like the picture below. If you don't need a makeup area, you could do a hamper pull out in the middle of the cabinets Advantage to this option would be one seamless mirror with no breaks. 2. To have the three mirrors, but use light bars hung vertically on each side of the mirrors like below: Personally, I think breaking the mirrors up is a little more modern and that would be the option I choose. To answer questions, I was able to add more pictures. Here is where the chandelier will hang. It is centered in the room. This is looking into the bath from center entry between closets on left and right. The room is roughly 20ft left to right, with shower and my vanity at opposite ends, and 12 ft from the entry to the back wall alcove where the tub will sit. The blue tape is stuck to the mount where the light will hang, and is 36" long just to see proportions. My husband standing under it is still a few feet from his head (he is 6'3"). Ceilings are all sots of height as you can tell but roughly 10-12' max. The chandelier above is L29w29xH32.5. Or they have a smaller one 25x25x28. Which size?? Oh and I don't have pic of the vanity as they are covered. But the suggested pics above of dark vanities is spot on color. My larger vanity is to the right here buried under the ladder etc.!
