Optimara Guide: Listen Up! :) (and a few other resources)

I really like the Optimara African Violet Guide. I believe this is the latest version of it. It answers many of the questions that have come up here (blossom types, leaf types, etc.) and it doesn't show all Optimaras either.

I have the .pdf saved to my desk top. When I click on the link, there is an option at the right of the guide to save it and I just chose "desk top" and named it. This may change with your browser or whatever.

The flip books don't work well for me.

Pansies have 4 sets of pollen sets and anthers in the center and stars have 5. There are some other differences but that is easiest. It can be very helpful when trying to sort out some similar looking ones.

I like the photos of leaf types much better than the line drawings found elsewhere. It's a really nice little reference.

I have also mentioned before that Joyce Stork's book: "You Can Grow African Violets " is available in e-book form for a very modest amount on both Amazon and Barnes and Noble.

There are some vintage violet books available for e-borrowing (is that a word?) on openlibrary.org.
