Carol, I am sorry but you are taking this too far. Please just move past the bitterness and lets all have fun, after all this is a social swap. Look up the meaning of social. We are all just here to enjoy each others fellowship and friendship. This has put a damper on everything concerning this group. Please just move on and enjoy this wonderful group like we are all doing. There are two GREAT swaps going on so lets just all do like Sue and put things past where they belong... in the past. Nice to think about picnics anytime but I'm sure a real treat to those with lots of snow & ice!! I thought maybe they had put the ants on a wire(don't know why they haven't) Love your table!! Weather is supposed to turn on us here in Ca.Sun-tues 3-4 in. rain then by wed. it will be cold very windy(100 mph gusts) & 3-4 in. of rain!! I don't think we have ever had 8 in. of rain in 1 week. Can't imagine the mess!! I put 3 bags of sand at edge of patio & went rest of way with bags of manure(hey, I use what I have)I tried cleaning out my drain under sidewalk on side but only got about 2 ft. quakes must have broken the pipe enough so gopher got it full of dirt!! All the fire stations have sandbags so they must think it will be bad,flood control channels haven't been cleaned in this area for years, homeless live in them.

Thanks, Michael/Lyra! (grin) she's darned expensive and time consuming for an imaginary child, sheesh. Nope, L, no plastic containers of potato salad in the refrigerated section. I suppose I should be grateful, I did find a plastic container of that ground up bologna and pickle with mayonnaise "sandwich spread" once. The grocery store originally had a small bakery and deli, with rotisserie chickens, but apparently those items spoiled before they could be sold and became a big loss, so now I can get a cold pre-cooked chicken on the weekends, donuts only from Sara Lee and sliced lulnch meats and cheeses. They have a small "hot" section" at lunch time, usually chicken strips, corn dogs and pizza rolls. I can get canned Bush's baked beans, though, and ice cream. Two brands, either Country Fresh or Hudsonville. tricia, I never said I was a manager. I'm a Mom and a farmer and at work I'm "Angela, The Pitbull". My employees know their jobs well, so I don't delegate very much, they just do their jobs and I make sure they get paid. I spend most of my time doing legal research, drafting briefs and motions and trying to make sure the criminals get locked up, while simultaneously trying to wipe the images of their abused wives/battered children out of my brain, along with the memory of the autopsy photos and the drunk driving victims. I'm not good at delegating, I'm good at doing whatever needs to be done to help those who need it. That, and I'm good at cooking, so i do what I'm best at. At least I enjoy the cooking! Annie

Jude, that is the weird and wonderful thing about that coleslaw "secret." I just buy the bagged colseslaw ( buy 1/2 purple and 1/2 white if you want to be adventurous, lol!) and pour on the dressing. I brought it to a potluck picnic at work once when I was working at a biological research station (small group) and it was just my "desperation" offering, and it was a big hit. I don't know the name of the brand of poppyseed dressing I used, but it came from the fridge/produce section of the grocery, and it was probably a somewhat higher end product. After that point, you can throw in whatever else you like in your coleslaw. One interesting addition I like sometimes are peas, which you can toss in the frozen ones out of a bag real simple. But that's not part of my poppyseed coleslaw secret recipe. Another easy peasy dressing, which I think would work good with coleslaw although I eat it on salads a lot, is mayo with a healthy glob of dijon mustard and dill weed. A friend turned me on to that quick and dirty secret dressing. I call it "California Dan's Secret Dressing." Don't tell anyone! You could add honey if you like coleslaw sweeter and thin it with milk or yogurt of whatever. Another quick and dirty coleslaw secret is to add celery seed if you don't have celery to put in it or like celery from a texture standpoint. That's something else I learned from my mom, she put celery seed in a lot of things because dad had "celery issues." :)
