Our everyday dishes are by Mikasa and they are 33 years old. There aren't any missing, but there are a couple of soup bowls that have a small v-shaped chip out of the rim. But, it's service for 16, so we rarely have to use those!

Mine are china...a middle of the road quality.

My everyday dishes are Corelle also - the Rose Marie pattern - and we have been using them every day for the last 21 years. I love these sets - they stack well, wash well and look as good now as they did when new. I like the fact too that if for some reason I do need to replace an item, they are readily available at my local department store.

I'm on the lookout for new dishes and flatware, but I'll start a new thread once I really begin looking.

I have all the serving pieces.cups..saucers..bowls..salad and dinner plates. Don't know how I've done it lol

I have a set of Gibson Home Imperial Braid dinnerware (kind of off white) that I picked up about 15 years ago for a song. Service for 8 plus some serving pieces was about $20. Used daily, it's held up really well. Just breakage from my mishandling. Before that, I used a set of Arocroc tempered glass service for 8 (two boxes of 4 place settings) that I picked up for $10 back in the mid 80s. My son still uses those.

I have Mikasa Italian Countryside. It's my third or fourth set of everyday. Some of the plates are chipped. Just replaced the saucers. Not holding up that well. Might order a couple of plates on E-Bay.

My every day set is a nice set is a bone china set we bought in England as our souvenir of the trip in 1973. I have lost lots of soup bowls and a few plates and the sugar bowl, but I have replaced them all.

I have Fiestaware in a bunch of different colors. I never got a complete set of China when I got married. Apparently, unlike most brides, I allowed my husband a say in the pattern. I grew tired of it pretty quick and never bothered to complete the set.

My everyday set is a set of Corelle which I just bought when I needed to replace my Pflatzgraff after 20 years of use.
I have a set of Royal Dalton china which we bought 33 years ago and my DH and I chose the pattern together and I still like it. It's only 8 place settings but our family dinners are getting bigger and bigger so I bought 16 Fiesta plates that match the blues in my good china. Very few china sets allow you to buy just dinner plates and Fiesta is one of them. They work well.

My everyday dishes are Corelle (Iris pattern)--I love them. They are more than 30 years old. I have service for 12 of Mikasa bone china--like new, because I never use them. I used them a few times in the old house; we've been here for almost 21 years, and they've never been used here!

Everyday flatware is Oneida Frostfire stainless--wish they still had that pattern, because I love it. They are about 45 years old!

I still have the set of dishes I bought when I left home, back in 1976. Mind you, they've been packed in a box in the basement since my daughter was born, 29 years ago. They're still like new. Because they've been in that box for 29 years. Now I don't want to use them because I'm afraid if I take them out and use them, I'll break a dish. LOL But I won't give them away. My every day dishes are my whitish Corelle hearthstone dishes. I've had them for about 10 years now. One plate broke.

My everyday dishes are 35 yr old Corelle, blue heather pattern.

My every day dishes are many different patterns. I live alone and love love love dishes so I have pink cabbage leaf shaped plates, Mary Engelbert white with black rim with red cherry design; pine cone pattern dinner plates, amber sandwich glass dinner plates, hull brown dip pattern set with many many serving pieces. Also have two sets of soup/cereal restaurant dishes from
shenango china. I could go on but I guess you get the idea. Im a dishaholic.
Because I live alone I don't have a full set of everyday dishes- - - mostly just dinner plates or luncheon size plates. I do have three full sets for when I need them.

My every day dishes are Dansk Blue Mesa, 30 years old. I've got 2 chipped pieces and it's still going.

My everyday dishes are Pfaltzgraff Yorktowne pattern. I have lots of pieces. Except for a couple of canisters my mother had I got them from Craig's list when people were selling a lot of pieces. It's fun looking for pieces at thrift stores and Craig's List.

Corelle dishes here. And a Corningware stoneware set for when we have casual gatherings with friends, and I have a very good set of bone china for special occasions. DH thinks I should get rid of a set, but when we wean, and I feed the crew, I need both the Corelle and stoneware unless he wants me to get paper plates, which is not happening, nor am I using my bone china for that.

After dropping a couple of dishes on this tile floor and having them explode we started buying paper plates.

'm with prairie rose...had a lovely set of ironstone in a pretty blue...but the older I got, the heavier those dishes got and was afraid i'd drop a load putting them away...so out they went and the lighter weight in...tho' these days dh is more often grabbing paper plates for dinner...(we have a lovely recycle system, lol) I do have an incomplete set of my ggma's noritake, but i'm afraid to use it...

Prairie rose..susanjf..thats how I ended up with china for everyday. I had ironstone & got tired of putting them away one at a time as a stack was too heavy to lift.

My everyday dishes are old restaurant dishes. I have several patterns. Many are white with green rings. Some are tan with orange rings. I pick them up at yard sales and flea markets...or used to. I don't really collect them any more unless I find one that is really unique.
