Rutgers Dogwood/Azaleas for corner lot feature - Venus a good one?

Went to a local nursery and finally found some Rutgers Dogwoods. They had Constellation, Aurora and a few other I believe, so I reserved for a 15 gallon Venus Rutgers Hybrid Dogwood, five 3 gallon dwarf Encore Azaleas, as I want to wrap around half the tree on the neighbor and street sides with them. Looking to ensure I made the best tree choice and azalea choice as well (originally chose Autumn Bravo, which I swapped out for Autumn Cheer and think that might be too much and considering going either back with a red or to Lilac and want some opinions). I won't be taking delivery until tomorrow so still have plenty time, as they just flagged them.

Fence post is gone and planned to plant Azaleas on the edge of the top of slope, with mature size pushing them to within a foot or two of the edge and tree x amount of feet diagonally towards the house. This is North facing, but should be a lot of sun this far from the house.

Thanks!
