Freestanding Air Tub - Need Recommendation
Comments (2)I'm just seeing this post this evening or I would have commented sooner. My Aquatic airjet has not been installed yet, nor is it free-standing, but my friend's is. Hers has claw feet and she loves it. She says the 'effervescent bubbles' are wonderful and the blower is not noisy. She loves the bathing experience. Her blower is remotely located under the vanity because of course, it would be seen otherwise. I don't know what the cost was but I'm sure it was nowhere near $8800.00. Go first to www.aquaticwhirlpools.com for product info. Then go to the link below which is to Ted at Old Tyme Hardware for pricing info. He was very helpful and knowledgeable about Aquatic (and other brands) and had very good prices. Tech Support at Aquatic (Jeff Nolte) has also been very helpful regarding installation techniques. Good luck, Anne...See MoreLooking for 60x32 freestanding acrylic tub recommendations
Comments (4)You could also look at fleurco. Great company! I had a chip in a shower base on the back ledge that wasn't ever going to be seen and yet they replaced the whole base...See MoreRecommendations for small freestanding white tub from reputable brand?
Comments (5)You do not need a soaking tub in the house for resale. A nice sized shower is more desirable nowadays. The only reason to put in a soaking tub if you have another tub in the house, is if you'll actually use the soaking tub. I put one in because my DH loves to soak....See MoreAcrylic Free Standing Tub.. are all brands the same??
Comments (3)There are several thing to consider if you are a bath person: the size of the seating area - I have found that a lot of these tubs will have different seating areas based on the slopes of the sides- you want to be able to stretch out a bit; next is the depth of water - what's the point of a soaker tub 24" high that only gets a water depth of 14 or 15" ? A little higher is better; next would be the slope you are leaning against - I have noticed that less expensive tubs don't have the nice angle to recline and be comfortable with a proper lumbar support ( I would look at more expensive tub that discusses that and see what sort of angles those tubs have, then compare to the ones you are looking at ) . Hope these suggestions help!...See Morekudzu9
