My skin tends to get a bit oily, so the products I use wouldn't be of much help. (Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse or L'oreal True Match) However - most companies make formulations for different skin types. L'oreal now has a line targeted for 40-something, 50-something, and 60-something. I was in the local drug store recently, and the cosmetics manager gave me some samples - of the 60-something moisturizer! I'm 41. Poor dear. She must have been all of 20 so to her, everyone looks older. I tried the moisturizer and it was a bit too heavy for me, so it might work very well for dryer skin. I know you're looking for foundation, and they also make a foundation for the same age-category. And a couple of people mentioned that the really expensive, department store cosmetics are a waste of money. I used to work for Estee Lauder, and know for a fact that many of their products were manufactured by exactly the same factories, using exactly the same ingredients (with the possible exception of some added fragrance) as the drug store brands. You're paying for the fancy glass bottles and extra packaging. (at least this was a number of years ago. I kind of think things are still pretty much the same) I work as an actress, and they really do use Max Factor drug-store makeup on film sets. After all, Max Factor invented makeup for use in the film industry, including the first waterproof mascara. The stuff just works! Good luck to you.

Good healthy skin starts inside and trying to solve skin problems by applying toxic creams and lotions isn't the answer. Almost all prepared skin care creams that do not claim to be natural (and some that do) contain harmful chemicals that are known to lead to disease. Your skin is the largest organ of your body and absorbs whatever you put on it directly into your blood stream. The link that flyingflower posted tells about some of those chemicals. Read the labels on your products to see which poisons are in them. I use organic coconut oil of a high grade (that can also be used in cooking) after a bath or shower as a protective layer for my skin and it's also good to remove makeup. I also use essential oils for skin care. Pay attention to what you eat, especially the oils. Your skin is a reflection of the general state of your health. EVOO, coconut oil, and butter are the healthiest oils to eat. Also lots of fresh vegetables are necessary for good health. I use only organic as I don't want all the noxious chemicals. I take Omega 3 supplements and occasionally flax oil altho I hate the taste. I also take a good multivitamin/mineral supplement to provide what my diet might miss.

Clarisonic should hire me as I'm pretty sure I'm their biggest fan! I purchased one (not sure it's the Mia but it's pink and has two speeds) last Fall (thought i'd give it a try to see what all the hooplah was about but fully expected to be unimpressed and end up returning it). I liked it so much that I got one for my 33 y.o. daughter for Christmas, and also have DH using it. I think everyone should have one! DD kind of rolled her eyes when she opened her gift and asked if i was trying to tell her something, She wasn't familiar with Clarisonic but gave it a try and now encourages her friends to use one. O.K., now to your questions. I don't have sensitive skin but they do make brushes for sensitive skin so have to assume it would be fine. Brushes are replaced every three months. I've always used Cetaphil cleanser but the Clarisonic isn't cleanser specific. It does come with a tube of Clarisonic cleanser. I use the brush twice a day. Yes, I have noticed mprovement in tone, texture and clarity of my skin (and I thought my skin was in pretty darn good shape as I've always made skin care a priority). The claim is that the brush cleans your skin six times better than washing manually rendering skin care products applied afterwards more effective. If you haven't already you may want to read reviews available on line. Lots of other fans out there!:) Initially I thought it was prob a gimmick and that I would most likely be returning it (purchased it at Ulta w/20% coupon). I also thought two minute face washing sessions seemed like a waste of time but this is one product I gladly spend the time using and am very glad to have invested in. I'm 74 and have been exercising 3 times weekly now for 11 years. I really concentrate on my legs as they need to work for me when my poor old damaged lungs can't. I could still wear shorts in the summer until about 5 years ago when gravity finally got my knees. It was inevitable. I have very strong muscles in my legs but it's the skin, not the muscles. Yes, I have been a sun worshiper for many years. It doesn't help my skin but tanned saggy skin looks SO much better when it's tanned. At 60, you don't yet have the old bruised, scared legs that will appear over the next 10 years. Out skin on our calves thins and a small bump can result in a deep cut. My lower legs look like someone has been beating them with a stick! But when they're tan, they look much better and the scars and bruises don't show as much. It is very hard to age when one is vain. One must do the best one can and accept the rest with humility.
