Meyer lemon tree stopped fruiting

Last year we planted a citrus tree. It has a few different types of citrus grafted on but seems to be meyer lemon root stock. A couple of months ago we got a bunch of lemons (and a few bitter oranges). Now there are none.

Any ideas what might be wrong? Is it a seasonal thing?

Some basic facts that might help: a. We are in So Cal. b. There are a lot of yellow leaves on the tree though I think more green ones than yellow. c. The tree overall looks healthy to my untrained eye. d. The next door neighbor's lemon tree (not Meyer), which is 10 feet away is covered with lemons. (It is a mature tree.) e. The tree came from a large reputable nursery and was planted by our garden who *seems* knowledgable.

Thanks in advance for any advice.
