Choosing between two wallmount sinks for compact bath

Our master bath is divided (by a door) between a shower/toilet-only bathroom and a dressing area with a sink and vanity (I know, annoying not to have a sink in the toilet area, but it was common with the original builders in our area for some reason). In our reno, we want to add a sink to the toilet/shower room, while redoing the sink vanity, dressing area, and associated closets and storage. While most morning prep activity will still center on the vanity sink, this will give us an additional sink for those occasions when DW and I have to get ready at the same time.

We have about 30" of the far wall space to add the sink in the bathroom, and the door swings in 28", leaving about 26" between door and far wall. The new sink must be compact, wallmount, clean lines, contemporary but not too trendy, with a small "deck" for soap etc, and usable for hand washing, tooth brushing and maybe some hair and makeup. The sink can't protrude too far out, but if it is too small, I'm afraid it won't be usable. Here are the two options:
