Foyer change - does this mirror work? (pics)
Comments (50)Without making more holes in your wall, I think the prints will work where they are if you add a couple things on the top of the chest to the right side. I like the prints there a lot and they may serve you well until you find the right mirror if you still choose to do that. Thanks for introducing Homer and Molly - they are truly precious!...See MoreCould this vanity work...?
Comments (11)I love the sink! I'd probably give $200 just for it. I'm not crazy about the style of the vanity and mirror, but I prefer things a bit more spare. It looks to me like an early 90s interpretation of an antique dresser I might like it more if it was not white. I've seen quite a few pieces recently painted two-tone beige and taupe. Add some glass knobs to replace what's there, and you could have quite a pretty piece. I'm attaching a picture of what I'm talking about. I'm currently painting a piece in these two-tone colors. I'm really not fond of the mirror, though. It looks like it's trying too hard....See MoreCould this Faucet Work for a Vanity???
Comments (6)I did it once in desperation because I couldn't find an 8" bathroom faucet at the time, small town, other factors. It was quite the BEST bathroom faucet I ever had. High enough to wash my hair at the sink if I wanted, could swing it out of the way when I wanted, and it totally worked. It was an older bowl, and I have noticed some of the newer bathroom bowls are pretty small. If I were you, I'd place my granite on the vanity, not sealed down, stick the faucet in the holes and see if it will work. That would tell you the "true" story. No one will know it's a kitchen faucet, they'll just think you are a superior decorator, and wonder where you found such a bathroom faucet....See MoreDoes the mirror work in this living room?
Comments (15)If a wide view is what you want, that is fine, but that size mirror I think would look very pretty hung vertically. It would truly look like a window. I hope you find a place to use it. If it works for you, hang it as you have it for a month or 2 and if you like it, great. If you are curious hang it vertically also for a month or 2....than you will know which one brings you the closest to your imagined benefit of having it there? Keep us posted! Such a pretty home!! You might consider having a frame put around it that mimics your window frames? I am sure you would make some do a double-take! :D...See Moredrdeb1234
