Bertch 60" single bowl vanity for hall bath
Comments (32)Sorry, my bad. With all the numbers in my head, I always mess up with the size.. It is indeed 60" vanity. It was a tough decision between 54" Bertch Bath Osage in Brindle vs 60" Bertch Marketplace Visage in Sable.I was ready to place the order for 54" when my husband pointed that the toilet will be 14" away from the toilet paper holder(which will be on the vanity side) and that might be an issue with kids. I did not wanted a stand alone holder plus needed someone to give me a push for the 6 drawers as well.:):) One question. My faucet is chrome but I took brushed nickel hardware for the vanity. For the above the vanity light, can I go brushed nickel as well? Will the chrome faucet look odd? I was reading in one of the posts, might be posted by linelle, that we can mix n match the colors as long as they r not different family. Comments (12)The picture marked version 2 I like the open hallway and stairs and bedroom placements with closets buffering the bathroom noise best. You are also able to get large furniture into the master bedroom. In the other unmarked version I'm not sure how you are going to get any large furniture in trying to turn that corner. In both though I think the master bath/closet could use some re-work. I don't like the access in the one marked version2 for the closet as you have to walk around from the bathroom through the master to get to the closet. However I'm not liking the other option either with two openings as it is wasting closet space. I'm thinking there has to be some other options available for the space too....See MoreTwo hall baths or 1 hall/1 ensuite?
Comments (14)I would leave it as is, No need to spend the money. It's just as easy a change for a buyer if it matters to them. I have an ensuite bath upstairs that we are looking to change to a hall bath or hybrid more like a jack and jill. We built out a space to create another room so access is the issue. Your three boys are all thinking about the room with the ensuite, not the times when the hall bath is occupied and the third brother needs to use the bathroom so he enters (or can't enter) the private turf and the bickering begins....See MoreOne or two sinks in second bath?
Comments (12)Expectations in your area can best be addressed by a realtor. We have a bunch of kids so we put a second sink in the bathroom. It never ever got used. It just collected dust. Even when the kids all brushed teeth or washed up for dinner together they only used one sink. So for us it was 100% NOT worth it. But that doesn't mean buyers won't want it. As to height, make it normal height. There's no guarantee it will be used by children, and of course kids grow very quickly. By 7 or so they can reach no problem. Until then, most families expect to use stools. Eta: what would be worth it would be more storage as already mentioned. So in your position I would stick with one sink, and do up to six drawers. That way each child can have their own separate storage....See MoreErrant_gw
