I can not see bookmarks, file etc anywhere . That is where it was on the top of the page on the old site but there is nothing like that on here now-nor is there a star as someone else suggested. I really miss all the bookmarks that I had,

Grams that has nothing to do with this website that is part of your browser. Try hitting the F11 key at the top of your keyboard you might have made it go to full page view.

If you are using Firefox:
File - Edit - View - History - Bookmarks - Tools - Help (All at top of page)
Select "View" and you'll see Toolbars & Sidebar & Some other choices.

Select "Sidebar" and you'll see Bookmarks. Click this and your bookmarks list will show up.

Bellarosa, yes, so far am liking the bit of bloom I've gotten from 'QFF', still hasn't grown much and think come next spring I'll carefully do some soil amending around it. The bloom quality holds better than 'Firelight' for those had rather quickly gone spotted and ugly and never did color up as I've seen in photos and videos, maybe it just does not like my far north location. I don't know if the low humidity here might also play a factor that the flowers just didn't age well, but I'll take low humidity any day, it makes being outside and working under the sun ever so much more enjoyable and comfortable! :) ... on the other hand, the arborescence types don't seem to have any bloom issues.

The casing should come to the floor, not the baseboard notched under the casing. Correct me if I’m wrong but it looks to me like neither was removed, just shoe molding set on the new floor. They shouldn’t have left it like this, but they also should have included it in the estimate as part of the job. If the casing is the standard stuff that’s readily available and you have access to a miter saw, one option could be to buy a length, cut short filler pieces, glue them in place and paint. With a careful hand and a bit of patience you should be able to make these virtually disappear. I would NOT try to extend the shoe molding; that’d look goofy.

best to show the ENTIRE first floor.....what is on the other side of living room wall? I cant imagine that 10 by 13 area is the original living room w full height windows and door...where would you place furniture...maybe a sitting area ? .....the center space with the door and windows that you call breakfast area....consider changing windows to wrap kitchen thru there and remove that door too. Then you have better options. but you have to look at the entire first floor... When coming in from garage.....I like to see a small contained area for drop zone/ hooks or cubby holes / bench/ etc which makes kitchen segregated , at least somewhat, from that part of daily flow.. which can be commotion filled / messy at times. You state you wish to avoid " big structural changes " ..better define that because I do think the space needs help...You can live with it for a while/ its a working kitchen .....you'll discover things by using the space.

Canless led light frustration. Please help!

"Our lights are wired in and have a 4” hole...Can anyone tell me what I need to look for in order to replace these lights without cutting all new holes?" I would buy 4" canless, dimmable, regressed LED recessed lights such as one of these: Halo RL4LS9FSD2W1EWHDM Maxxima MRL-S41503 Commercial Electric 92337 Maxxima MRL-S41503S or MRL-S41503SBW These are all canless so they do not require housings to be installed in the ceiling. They will fit in the existing 4" ceiling holes. The lenses are regressed which means that they sit above the plane of the ceiling thereby reducing glare -- unlike the one shown in your second photo. All have selectable color temperatures. Be sure to control the lights with dimmers such as the Lutron LED+ dimmers.

Here is the link to help you load the bookmarks tool bar. Go to the link and then Scroll down to Table of Contents and then click onto the first topic which is Show/hide bookmarks toolbar. It looks like it's fairly straightforward with about 3 steps.

OK now wait you said in this original message that you did not have file, bookmarks or any other items normally on the top row of your browser. Now are you saying that you suddenly do see file etc but not bookmarks? If so what happened to cause you to now see file and the other items?

Please you have got to give us absolutely every bit of information if we are going to help you figure this out. If you changed anything, if you see something now that you didn't, have you gone to other websites and see anything different up at the top of the browser? Have you updated your browser in the last few days, I know there's a new update waiting for me to do on my Firefox right now. If you have had the update it's possible that changed some of your settings. Tell us everything.

grams33, do you mean " clippings " ? We no longer have clippings. They are now called " bookmarks ", and there is a bookmark button under each post.

Raven-I messesd around and did find that file-etc but there is still no bookmarks. Sorry . As you can tell I am not very good on this but love to use it for the simple things. I really do appreciate all your help and imagine you are getting frustrated with me, too. you are are so kind.

Just frustrated because I can't see what you see unfortunately that's always the frustrating thing.

My guess is that you don't have the bookmarks set to display.

But since you are using Firefox what I would try is install the add on Xmarks which will find and synchronize all of your bookmarks, it will store your entire list on a website that you can access from anywhere with your own user name and password and it will update it anytime you add a new bookmark. That way you can see if you do have bookmarks and what they are. It's very easy to use and install and you won't ever lose them since they are listed on the website only you can get to.

You need to be sure to keep the username and password written down safely. Here's a link to get it for Firefox

Be sure to only get the free version and just have it keep your bookmarks. Try that, I use it on all of my computers and love it.
