The Kitchen Table

Grams when you click on Kitchen Table, at the top, under the name is a box where you start a new topic. Type in the subject line, and then the message box. It's the same as before, but it used to be at the bottom of the page. It's now at the top.

As far as bookmarks, if you had Kitchen Table saved on your bookmarks/favourites bar before, it will still be there. I have never saved a new bookmark or anything since the change. My bookmarks are all on my bookmarks bar at the top of my websites. Kitchen Table, Cooking, Yahoo, Google, etc.

Thank you so much -but I still can't find bookmarks nor how to add to them. Excuse me for being so dense.

I have firefox so don't know if its the same or not. Bookmarks for me, are found at the very very top of my page, the very top line. It says File, edit, view, history, bookmarks....
If you are on Kitchen Table, click onto bookmarks and it will say "Bookmark this page" click onto it , click done and it's saved.
Next time you turn on your computer, just click bookmarks, kitchen table will be listed, click onto that and you will be here.

How wonderful for you that your Grandson wants to spend special time alone with you. You are blessed. I'm sorry that your son and his wife are hurt. Perhaps you can explain to them as you did to us that having everyone there at the same time is taxing on you, but that you absolutely would love to see them. The alternative that you suggested sounds like a good one. I think they just got their nose out of joint because Grandson/Nephew had already spoken for that period and you didn't cow-tow to them. Just frustrated because I can't see what you see unfortunately that's always the frustrating thing. My guess is that you don't have the bookmarks set to display. But since you are using Firefox what I would try is install the add on Xmarks which will find and synchronize all of your bookmarks, it will store your entire list on a website that you can access from anywhere with your own user name and password and it will update it anytime you add a new bookmark. That way you can see if you do have bookmarks and what they are. It's very easy to use and install and you won't ever lose them since they are listed on the website only you can get to. You need to be sure to keep the username and password written down safely. Here's a link to get it for Firefox https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/xmarks-sync/ Be sure to only get the free version and just have it keep your bookmarks. Try that, I use it on all of my computers and love it.

Speedy No Knead Bread Ingredients 3 cups bread flour 1 packet (1/4 ounce) instant yeast 1 ½ teaspoons salt Oil as needed Preparation Combine flour, yeast and salt in a large bowl. Add 1 1/2 cups water and stir until blended; dough will be shaggy. Cover bowl with plastic wrap. Let dough rest about 4 hours at warm room temperature, about 70 degrees. Lightly oil a work surface and place dough on it; fold it over on itself once or twice. Cover loosely with plastic wrap and let rest 30 minutes more. At least a half-hour before dough is ready, heat oven to 450 degrees. Put a 6-to-8-quart heavy covered pot (cast iron, enamel, Pyrex or ceramic) in oven as it heats. When dough is ready, carefully remove pot from oven. Slide your hand under dough and put it into pot, seam side up. Shake pan once or twice if dough is unevenly distributed; it will straighten out as it bakes. Cover with lid and bake 30 minutes, then remove lid and bake another 15 to 30 minutes, until loaf is beautifully browned. Cool on a rack. CI's recipe also suggests putting a large sheet of parchment paper into the dutch oven before dropping in the dough, to make it easier to remove when its done. Let the bread fully cool before slicing, to enjoy the crust to its fullest.

If you open a new tab and go to the Kitchen Table, via Gardenweb, is there a star or + or some other insignia at the very right end of the address bar that tells you to save this site to your Bookmarks?

You should be able to save a Bookmarks Bar, where your most frequently used websites are listed. If you have a ton of favourites/bookmarks they'll all be under a little folder where you have to scroll through to find the one you want. A bookmarks bar will have your favourite ones that will always be visible to click on.

The bookmarks has nothing to do with this site or any changes here. Bookmarks are part of your browser not a webpage. Your bookmarks are exactly where they have always been unless you have changed to a different browser, like from Firefox to Internet Explorer or Chrome etc.

If you by chance are meaning your clippings from the previous gw that's different those are now under your Houzz profile area, from what I have read not all of those transferred.

If you want to find the posts you have been active on that too is under your Houzz profile area called activity. Go examine the whole profile area including the advanced settings and all of that, you probably want to change some settings there. Remember that you need to hit the update submit button to make changes stay.

When my kids get home I will ask them. Maybe the category itself has to be added? Was it there before, did you have things bookmarked before?

grams - Here are instructions on how to add the bookmarks tab. I followed it through and hopefully it's straightforward. Hope it helps.

Scroll down to Table of contents and the first category is how to add the bookmark scroll bar. Click on to that and follow the instructions.
