We were going to go out for half-price hamburger night but it started snowing again and we have a very steep driveway. Looks like something from the freezer. Probably Manhattan clam chowder. Sounds good for a snowy night. I did get out for lunch with some friends today. I had a potato and leek soup andCoquille St. Jacque so I'm not so hungry for dinner. I was just going to have an appetizer tonight anyway.

I am cooking Cajun bbq chicken legs and oven roasted potatoes with a small red leaf lettuce salad.

Quickie broccoli cheese soup in sourdough bread bowls.

I sauteed some leeks and asparagus, and had pork chops and mashed potatoes. I made some butter tart squares on the weekend and we'll have one later.

Pizza delivered.

Shirley, it's about 25 degrees right now and I'm in Williamsburg, VA. We don't get much snow here and generally when we do, it's gone in a day or two. The temps have been really cold so the snow is not disappearing. Tomorrow it's going to be sunny and 40's so that should take care of some of it but tomorrow night it's suppose to drop in temp again and start snowing. They're predicting 3 - 5 inches. We're just not use to it here. We will go out tomorrow night unless the snow comes in early. Right now it's not suppose to start snowing until very late in the evening. We need to eat up $60.00 before before March 1st. LOL I wound up eating some leftover appetizers from Sunday night's Oscar party and DH made himself a hamburger.

wow, a McD's fish sandwich sounds really good to me -- I haven't had one in several years!

It's been really cold here for weeks. I made Stuffed Pepper Soup for dinner tonight.

I dredged a pork tenderloin in a lot of seasoning, then wrapped it in bacon and roasted it. A salad on the side and a sugar free ice cream sandwich for dessert. I is stuffed. :)

I ate in our dining room tonight. Wanted to use up one of the 10 meals that come with our monthly rent. Chicken and dumplings were on the menu, but I chose another option--broiled fish and baked potato, with tomato-cucumber salad, peas, roll, and instead of the lemon crunch pie I chose peaches. The peaches were canned diced--pie would have been better, or my usual choice-vanilla ice cream with lots of caramel sauce,

Reading over the recipes on the KT Gathering Place, I ran into Patti's recipe for Zuppa Toscana. Since I have never made it and I had all of the ingredients, I decided that we would have it for supper. It was so good---I have found another keeper. KT Gathering Place

I had old fashioned chipped beef & gravy on toast with a side of hasbrowns. And orange wedges, strawberries, and banana slices.

Gadgets, I promised a day at Busch Gardens this week. We had tacos. and burritos...and they were good....

I ate a late dinner at a Hofbrau after running erands. French dip sandwich on crusty sourdough bread with hand carved roast beef and a side of potato salad.

DH wanted to go to Red Lobster for lunch. Not one of my favorites so he had the pasta dish he likes and I had crab legs with rice and a salad. Shared some of my crab legs with him.

Gadgets, so hard to believe that it was that cold where you are. I golfed today, and actually got hot. When you live in SW Florida, we just can't imagine what is going on in some of the other states.

We both wanted a crunchy salad, with the works. I started with mixed spring greens, added greenhouse cukes, sliced carrots, zucchini, chick peas, green onions, tomatoes. I marinated some mushrooms, and pan seared a sirloin to slice on top. With a homemade thousand island bacon dressing, it's one of our favorite meals.

Strange thing to crave on the eve of a severe winter storm event, lol. It's going to be pretty interesting around here for the next day or so.
