Comments (7)Smallfern SO SORRY I mis named you in the above post. I had to really laugh as I watched smallfern, she is a beautiful tiny thing talk to one of the MGs who is a VERY tall man. I was at the back of the tent. She kept asking about goldenpond or tanya and he was getting more and more confused ,rubbing his chin and finally pointing in my direction like we were both from outer space. When I figured out what was going on I shouted" IM goldenpond!"and when running up to greet her THAT really blew his mind like we were in some secret society! Hubby had taken the camera and left with our grandson or I would have gotten a shot of her too....See MoreGarden Web says~~~~
Comments (25)Usually I "SOB' these kinds of threads....but, I do agree with Patti and Flamy. For a very long time, I sent "good thoughts" instead of prayers, as I think many of the Spike-days folks have done. I believe that by sending that "good thought" and "prayer" and "Hug", it means we will be mindful of our friends who are experiencing trouble or pain. THAT is (IMHO), far different than espousing one's religious beliefs. Politics is harder, maybe, but; being "mindful" of how we respond to a celebrity or politician is what "civil discourse" is really about. What I taught my children (and my Brownie & Girl Scouts) was...."if you can't say something nice about someone, don't say anything". That does not mean that you cannot have an opinion...just that there ARE ways to express an opinion without being derogatory or hurtful. And, if having an angry, derogatory, cynical or even sarcastic expression is all you can find....then is when you just SOB. I have been here a long time too, and really want to keep this place so NOT LIKE the animosity that pops up in other places. We are family...we really love one another. JMHO.....Nanny...See MoreFirefox and Chrome STYLISH add on to change the print and background
Comments (13)I'm always hesitant to download FF add-ons because I've had some cause browsing issues at certain websites. I'm curious about Stylish though, I've seen that you can change to some predetermined style that someone has created and I'm not interested in doing that with my page. All I want to do is change the font to something more pleasing to the eye and change the background color to tone it down a bit. Can I do that with Stylish? I've looked at a few videos and all I see is some format choices that I really don't want to use. Could someone tell me how to use Stylish to make my own choices of fonts and background colors?...See MoreClean up and beautify Garden Web!
Comments (7)Understand your comment and sympathize with you. BUT at least you have a valuable skill you can use. I have AOL so you know how "simple" things must be for me to function. Wouldn't have a clue how to use Firefox (don't even know what that is really) or mess with Chrome (I'm more the stainless steel type I think). I'm still hoping Houzz can improve the looks of this site for the rest of us......Maryl...See Moreleila hamaya
