Is this something new with the annoying robo calls?

Phone rang. Caller ID said MY name and number. Somehow I was calling myself -- from and to the same number. I answered, and it was one of those annoying robo calls -- nothing is wrong with your credit card, blah, blah, blah, may qualify for, blah, blah, blah. Those calls had slowed since I've been able to block those calls.

Is this a new maneuver?

If so, they must have had cooperation from the phone companies to do that. Otherwise, is it even possible to call yourself like that?

Has anyone blocked their own phone number?

There's just no way to stay ahead of the cretins out there.
