Just because we've figured out (1) how to get here and log in successfully, and (2) how to post a new discussion and reply to existing discussions, it doesn't mean that we like it. At all.

I like it! There are a lot of new features here and I actually prefer it to the old site. I don't understand why some people are so bitter.

I will try to say something nice. I think the posts are easier to read, I like the Like button and that we can add an avatar, which I have not done.

I like that we can reply and hit the back button on the browser. The old GW used to take you back to the preview screen.

Changes are challenges and I love challenges.

I am enjoying the learning of new things, stimulating the old brain cells. It definitely could be a lot worse. And they are working with us and trying to make it more acceptable to us. It will take more than a day or two.

My main complaint is that we didn't have a warning before the changes, backing up some of our stuff would have been helpful if there was a notice.

All in all I am OK with it. And I too am proud of the folks here.

I'm trying to like the change because I can see how houzz is taking our requests seriously. If anyone wants to change email notifications, go to your page, press the my houzz icon on the right, press profile, then press advance settings on the left column. Go through each notification until your happy!

Thanks for the helpful info, Toni, and thanks too to Raven for all the support. I'm still not sure how to allow people to email me, yet my actual address is protected. Didn't we have that before?

Only people you follow and who follow you can email you. I think since this is a much wider universe it helps cut down on spam.

I lurk pretty often but I seldom post, so maybe that is why I like it better, seems to me it is easier to post a message, it's easier to start a thread. I love the like button, I like the fact that I can respond multiple times to the same post without altering the heading, I like that when I am through typing this all I have to do is hit submit, I don't have to preview and submit, and then back twice to the page, It just seems easier to use to me, but like I said I don't really use it that much.
